is a terrific wide out in the 2030 class out of the Lone Star State (Texas) and he is someone who is strong in route running, has great hands and is great with the ball in his hands. Shorts will make some big plays in Jersey, I believe he has a great camp there up North!

Watching Cecil live, the first thing that stood out was how active he stays throughout the entire rep. Even when he’s not the primary read, he keeps moving with purpose and works to stay available, which shows early awareness for the position.
He’s still building his overall route tree, but he does a solid job staying balanced through his movements and getting in and out of breaks without losing speed. There’s a developing feel for timing with the quarterback, and you can see him starting to understand when to throttle down or accelerate into space.

Cecil backed up his WR MVP performance with how he moved during drills, especially in the cone work. He was smooth and controlled through every rep, showing quick feet and the ability to sink his hips without losing speed. His change of direction stood out, as he attacked each cone with precision and stayed balanced coming out of his breaks. There was no wasted movement — everything was sharp, efficient, and game-ready.
What separated him even more was how he translated those cone drills into real receiver movement. The same quickness and body control showed up in his routes, allowing him to create clean separation. He stayed low, exploded in and out of cuts, and maintained strong tempo throughout. It was clear that his footwork and attention to detail are what make him such a consistent playmaker.

Cecil stood out at the camp with a clear understanding of route running and how to attack defenders as a WR. He showed crisp, precise routes, sharp cuts, and the ability to create separation in every drill. His awareness of leverage, timing, and spacing allowed him to get open consistently, and he displayed reliable hands when catching the ball in traffic. Cecil’s polished technique made him one of the most technically sound receivers on the field.
