Strong, broad-shouldered player who proves to be a tough tackle. Ready-made player physically, with the mass and strength to shear off contact and stay on his feet. Truly impressive short-area quickness and jolts of energy. Battles between the tackles and explodes through creases to get out and run. He does the same in space and is an intimidating tackle for defenders. He is an urgent but controlled back with little wasted movement. Should be viewed as a cloud-of-dust back. D1 player.

Tarboro is a stout, high-motor runner who scraps hard for yards. He strains the most out of each rep and proves capable of shearing off contact in the short areas. He is explosive in the short areas with true one-cut ability to take advantage of lanes. There is an extra gear here, which he taps into to lift off. All in all, Tarboro has the makings of a D1 back, and he is being leaned on heavily this year.

A West Georgia back still flying under the radar, Tarboro is a 5-foot-10 185-pound back from Columbus who is one of the top returning backs in the area for the upcoming season. As a junior in 2025 Tarboro ran for just under 800 yards and seven touchdowns in just nine games, averaging an impressive 6.5 yards per attempt. He brings above-average speed and burst with the ability to fight through defenders in the trenches. The small-town runner is currently ranked as the No. 72 RB prospect in the state with the potential to earn All-Region honors and a possible 1,000-yard season.

It was a tough year for Northside in 2025, but Tarboro was a bright spot at the running back position. He’s a slippery back who can slide through poor tackles and take off down the field. He’s tough to corral and run down from behind for opposing defenders. He shows quick feet, burst, and enough vision to sneak his way through the line off scrimmage. One of the more underrated backs in West Georgia, Tarboro ran for a respectable 791 yards and seven touchdowns last season, hitting the 100-yard mark three times. He’ll be an easy addition to the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings.
