just picked up his first Division I offer from Bucknell, and it’s well deserved. At 5’11”, 165, he runs with speed, elusiveness, and surprising physicality. He’s a threat as a pass catcher, too, making him a true all-purpose back. Ranked No. 4 among 2026 running backs in Jersey, Glenn’s stock is trending up fast.

Beyond who we have identified as the top three backs in the class, the next several are damn good players in their own right. First up is

. Glenn broke in with the varsity squad as a freshman and seized the reigns of the lead-back for Jackson Memorial last year. Moves available to him include the stiff arm, jump-cut, and hurdle. Glenn does a great job cutting across the grain when given a toss and can outrun defenses. Even with excellent vision to cutback, he is still able to plant and get himself vertical without relinquishing much speed at all. Glenn is unafraid of contact, willing to lower his shoulder in big-time, must-have yardage situation and run opponents over. As he approaches contact and the line of scrimmage, we see him lean forward in hopes to fall forward and gain cheap-and-easy extra yardage. Lastly, he has a devastatingly dramatic jump-cut that he uses to slice upfield.

from Jackson Memorial. Jonah, standing at 5’9” and 185 pounds, is only a sophomore. However, his film shows he’s the total package at running back. He has burst, vision, speed, and the ability to force missed tackles. Additionally, Jonah excels at making defenders miss in the open field.
He’s a solid runner who reads blocks exceptionally well. His standout trait is his ability to force missed tackles combined with solid contact balance. Last year, Jonah rushed for over 1,400 yards and scored 12 touchdowns, averaging almost 8 yards per carry. As he heads into the next season, Jonah is primed to separate himself and reach new levels of dominance.

will come back stronger and smarter. Improving on last season’s performance is within his reach. If he does, he could lead New Jersey in rushing touchdowns for the 2024-25 season. With his skill set and potential, Jonah is one of my breakout running backs to watch this year.

has been a phenom on the ground. One of the most impressive backs in the state, Jonah took off for 1449 yards and 12 touchdowns this past fall. With the rare combination of speed and strength, Jonah is able to carve defenses up in multiple ways.
Elusive with the ball in his hands, Jonah is able to dodge defenders with incredible quickness and continues on with acceleration that most can’t keep up with. And with the power to break through any tackle, Jonah isn’t going down without a fight. Keep your eyes on Jonah these next two years.

is the youngest back on this list, but is still making the same impact as the best in the state. The Jackson running back is another that can run through arm tackles and keep his legs churning, but is also a speedster. He makes cuts with precision and can also unleash a burst of speed to carve in and out of defenders. With 1362 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore,

A player I had noted heading into week 5 as one to watch out for, Glenn neither disappointed nor made me look foolish. In a win on the road at Brick, Glenn exploded for his best game of the season – a 23 carry, 274 yard, and 4 touchdown performance. The game was Glenn’s third 200+ yard game and second straight multi-score game. He has had at least 20 totes each game for the 5-0 Jaguars.

is already starting to make a name for himself. Playing running back and corner in 2022, Jonah is capable of having a big impact for his team on both sides of the ball. As a runner, Jonah is very patient through the hole, and turns on his speed once he gets an inch of open space. And when he does meet a defender, you can be sure Jonah will keep his legs churning as he fights for extra yards. A soon to be household name, Jonah is going to be a touchdown machine in the near future.
