The inaugural Battle in Bama event was a huge success, with a plethora of athletes showcasing their abilities on the biggest stage. I covered the 15U Division over the weekend and saw several prospects who caught my attention.

I've compiled a list of the MVPs from each position. There are a total of eight kids on this list, including two quarterbacks, three wide receivers and three defensive backs. All of them showed a lot of good stuff and have FBS potential.

2029 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1606346' first='Trey' last='Hasan'] – Zilla Zoo

[player_tooltip player_id='1606346' first='Trey' last='Hasan'] was one of the most impressive players at the event. He's just a freshman, but the Georgia native looked experienced for his age, with excellent composure.

Hasan consistently produced at a high level and made big plays when his team needed it. The 2029 QB is well-built, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 175 pounds with a strong frame. I was very impressed by his arm talent, as he made every throw on the field and showed the ability to layer them into tight windows.

He has nice vision for a young quarterback and strong decision-making skills. He's just a young buck, but the signal caller has the potential to be an excellent prospect in the class of 2029.

2030 QB Bryce Aukerman – D1 Nashville

2030 Bryce Aukerman caught my eye early on Sunday, looking like a seasoned veteran, but the young QB is not even in high school yet.

He offers an excellent build for his age, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 165 pounds, with a strong frame and a healthy mix of athleticism to run. Aukerman has exceptional arm talent, making every throw on the field and showing the ability to layer his passes well.

He has strong decision-making skills and a good sense of the field. Aukerman was able to fit balls in tight windows, along with completing perfect deep passes downfield.

With Trent Dilfer coming back to Lipscomb Academy, he needed a quarterback for the future. Well, he has his guy with the talented rising freshman from Nashville.

2029 WR [player_tooltip player_id='2118012' first='Landon' last='Forrest'] – Gulf Coast Athletics

[player_tooltip player_id='2118012' first='Landon' last='Forrest'] had an excellent weekend at Battle in Bama, being a big-time contributor for Gulf Coast Athletics. The rising sophomore had many impressive snags, including several touchdowns.

The 2029 wide receiver offers good size for his age, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 160 pounds, with a longer frame. He's a good route runner who consistently finds himself open and makes every play.

Forrest has the body and skills to win contested grabs, but is highly athletic and can beat defensive backs with finesse or excel after the catch.

2029 WR [player_tooltip player_id='2118779' first='Malik' last='Rolle'] – Zilla Zoo

Zilla Zoo's 15U squad was loaded on the offensive side of the ball, and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2118779' first='Malik' last='Rolle'] was one of the star players. The 2029 receiver made a handful of big-time plays during the two-day event, especially on Championship Sunday.

There weren't many high-pressure situations, with Zilla Zoo dominating teams. However, Rolle always seemed to convert when his team needed it. The 6-foot-1, 167-pound receiver offers good size for his age and a longer frame that allows him to be used in a multitude of ways.

He's able to make tough grabs over defenders, but don't sleep on his athleticism and speed. The 2029 prospect is one of the first kids on his team that caught my eye, and I'm excited to see what he does over the next few seasons of high school ball.

2029 WR [player_tooltip player_id='2118013' first='Braylen' last='Brown'] – Playmakers Elite

The wide receiver play at Battle in Bama was terrific all weekend. One of the kids responsible for that is 2029 [player_tooltip player_id='2118013' first='Braylen' last='Brown']. He had a strong showing on Saturday, along with a solid outing on Sunday. The in-state prospect made several highlight catches and had a strong argument for being the top receiver in the 15U Division.

He possesses an excellent build for his age, standing 6-foot and weighing 171 pounds with a long frame and terrific athleticism.

Brown excels at making contested catches but also has the speed and elusiveness to run circles around defensive backs. The Central High School athlete plays at the same school Cam Coleman attended, and he draws some similarities to the now SEC football superstar.

2028 DB [player_tooltip player_id='2115078' first='Deion' last='Williams'] – Zilla Zoo

[player_tooltip player_id='2115078' first='Deion' last='Williams'] had a great showing on both days for Zilla Zoo. He's an exciting prospect who made tons of plays as a receiver, but was also lockdown as a defensive back. The 2028 athlete stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 155 pounds, with a lot of natural athleticism and skills that make him a dynamic playmaker.

He saw a lot of time this past season for a 12-1 Langston Hughes squad, then turned around and began dominating the competition in 7v7. Williams must add weight to maximize his potential, but the rising junior has proven that he can perform incredibly well despite his lack of size.

2028 DB Khamel Redding-Hall – Zilla Zoo

Zilla Zoo's offense was spectacular, but the defense clamped up on everybody, allowing just 61 points in four games on Championship Sunday. Khamel Redding-Hall helped with that, as he was excellent as a defensive back.

The rising junior is a compact player, standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 160 pounds. However, the 2028 prospect is highly athletic and can play with anyone. I watched him lock up receivers with a significant height advantage while showing excellent coverage skills against smaller, shifty guys.

Redding-Hall had a big interception in the championship game that sealed the deal for Zilla Zoo, showing he can also perform under the figurative bright lights. Once he grows more, he will be a nightmare for opposing teams.

2028 DB Trendon Harden – Mojo Boyz

Trendon Harden was my favorite defensive back that I saw at Battle in Bama. There's a lot to like about this young man's game, starting with his size. The rising junior stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 177 pounds with a long, but good frame. Harden had the best defensive back build in his Division, but that's not all that impressed me.

He possesses excellent ball skills and instincts for his age, totaling a good amount of pass breakups. Harden is a disciplined player who shows sound technique and the ability to remain unrattled in every situation.

The Mississippi native is a lockdown defender who's a fluid mover, has excellent footwork and flips his hips well. He picked up his first Division 1 offer recently from Samford, but you can expect many more to come his way.
