About Asher

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am very competitive and I hate to lose. I will always try to win and never give up even in the last seconds of the game. I always respect my coaches' decisions and do what they expect of me and more. I give 110% and work through all my reads to find out what throw or run can best benefit my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to always win at everything I pursue. My personality is a caring and funny one. I also have a big heart and put God first in everything I do and say. My faith determines how I live my life and what I do.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am very involved in my church youth group. In school I am a member of Student Council, Christian Student Union and will be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society this spring. I serve as an ambassador for Lisowe's Lights a nationally recognized non-profit that provides nightlights to foster children worldwide. In addition I volunteer as a coach for our Pee Wee Football league.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed skills like problem solving and composure under pressure. Football has taught me to solve any problem and keep my composure when a mistake is made or an unexpected obstacle faces my way. I also put these skills to use in my school and everyday life. I led my team to 2nd place in our conference throwing for 1619 passing yards. I also love mentoring young players as a Pee Wee coach.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a University that will allow me a place to pursue both my athletic and academic goals at the next level. Somewhere that is fairly close to home and has a good culture is very important to me. I hope to be part of a college that is supported by it's community and state. I hope my college home has a great campus and a strong legacy.
