Well, this fall, the rest of the Jaguars are making sure people realize they are more than just Aaron Graves Aaron Graves 6'5" | 260 lbs | DL Southeast Valley | 2022 State IA .
Ranked atop the state by several outlets, Southeast Valley rolled to a sixth consecutive win by scoring 62 points against Clarion-Goldfield/Dows this past week. That included 44 points by halftime.
And yes, while Graves was a big part as he is each and every week, several others continued to showcase themselves for would-be future coaches.
Kolson Kruse Kolson Kruse 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Southeast Valley | 2022 State IA – Southeast Valley – QB/S – 6-0 – 170
Remember when – or maybe you still do – playing video games like Madden and NCAA Football and trying to win the MVP or Heisman as the quarterback of your team? You would constantly be piling up stats to look better. Well, in real life, Kolson Kruse Kolson Kruse 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Southeast Valley | 2022 State IA is doing just that.
Kruse threw for 390 yards, ran for 150 and had seven touchdowns this past Friday night. He did all of that while completing 15 of 21 passes without an interception, giving him an eye-popping 227.4 quarterback rating.
One of the best athletes each and every time he steps on the field, Kruse continues to light up the scoreboard. He throws an excellent deep ball, has perfect touch on the short routes and when all of that is covered, has more than enough speed to take off and pick up the first down – and more.
Tre Fisher – Southeast Valley – WR/DB – 6-0 – 160
The last name Fisher might ring a bell, as Southeast Valley formerly had Kyler Fisher, now a member of the University of Iowa football team. Tre Fisher isn’t a running back like Kyler Fisher was, instead he shows off his skills at the wide receiver position.
Fisher caught eight passes from Kolson Kruse Kolson Kruse 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Southeast Valley | 2022 State IA vs. the Cowboys, covering 210 yards. Three of those resulted in touchdowns, including one spanning 68 yards. Fisher is also dangerous in the run game on sweeps and more.
As part of a fast-paced, up-tempo offense, Fisher could slot right in at any of the receiver positions and provide an immediate impact.
Lathe Muench – Southeast Valley – RB/LB – 5-11 – 180
If needed, Southeast Valley could give the ball to Lathe Muench 40 times a game and find success. So when the Jaguars call on their workhorse running back, he delivers.
Muench is a bruiser with game-changing speed. He had 15 carries for 114 yards and a touchdown this past week, which was somewhat of a light load for him. He provides the kind of wear-you-down rushing attack that eventually leads to long plays later in the game when players are tired of trying to bring him down.
