RB Joe Leggio Joe Leggio 6'0" | 230 lbs | RB Rockhurst | 2022 State MO , 6-1, 230, Rockhurst, 2022
He had more carries in this game against Bishop Miege (Kan.) than he did the previous two weeks combined. Leggio’s final number was 42 carries for 255 yards and three touchdown, helping the Hawklets pull off a 24-21 victory.

RB Wentric Williams III Wentric Williams III 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Liberty KC | 2022 State MO , 6-0, 185, Liberty, 2022
Another standout performance for Williams III helped Liberty win its second in a row, beating Blue Springs South. Williams III put up his second-best game of the season with 265 yards and two scores on 32 carries. The only game better was rushing for 295 in Week 1. Teammate Caden Dennis Caden Dennis 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Liberty (KC) | 2022 State MO added five catches for 89 yards and a score for the Blue Jays.

RB Lukas Shelton, 6-2, 182, Excelsior Springs, 2022
The Tigers didn’t have any luck passing the ball — 0 for 5 — but they sure ran the ball well. Shelton was the feature back in the game rolling up 284 yards on 27 carries and scored 4 TDs as Excelsior Springs knocked off state-ranked Harrisonville. Shelton ran for more than 200 yards for the second straight week and the 284 was a season-high. The offense rolled up 482 yards on 60 carries. QB Chance Moreland (6-4, 197, junior) added 151 yards on 23 carries.
LB/S Kaden Torres Kaden Torres 5'8" | 165 lbs | DB North Kansas City | 2023 MO , 5-8, 165, North Kansas City, 2022
Torres filled up the stat sheet in a low-scoring game that the Hornets won, beating Staley, 10-8. Torres led the team in tackles with 7 1/2, while adding one sack, one tackle for loss and one interception. He is a transfer from Olathe (Kan.) Northwest. Teammate Edric Hill Edric Hill 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2023 State MO had four tackles and three tackles for loss, while linemen Adepoju Adebawore Adepoju Adebawore 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2023 State MO and Domonique Orange Domonique Orange 6'3" | 295 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2022 State MO each added a sack.
QB Kendrick Bell Kendrick Bell 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Park Hill | 2023 State MO , 6-3, 170, Park Hill, 2023
Another week and another standout performance by Bell, who is getting more comfortable in the offense under new coach Andy Sims. Bell threw for a season-high 410 yards, completing 28 of 37 passes. He threw three touchdowns and ran for another. His top two targets were senior PJ Caldwell PJ Caldwell 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Park Hill | 2022 State MO who had 13 catches for 184 yards and a score and junior Max Filion added 3 catches for 100 yards and a score. Park Hill is now 4-1 and won four straight
QB Sam Van Dyne Sam Van Dyne 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Liberty North | 2023 State MO , 6-3, 205, Liberty North, 2023
The No. 2-team in Class 6 scored 35 unanswered points and picked up a 42-7 win over Blue Springs, which features Iowa State commit Ikenna Ezeogu Ikenna Ezeogu 6'5" | 225 lbs | DL Blue Springs | 2022 State MO playing defensive end. Van Dyne passed for 185 yards and three scores, but was very effective when he passed, completing 10 of 13 passes. RB Micah Jo Barnett added 100 yards on 15 carries and a score on the ground and caught a touchdown from Van Dyne.
WR Rhett Foster Rhett Foster 6'3" | 175 lbs | WR Smithville | 2022 State MO , 6-3, 175, Smithville, 2022
The all-state wide receiver was one of many standouts in the Warriors’ 20-10 win over Class 5 state-ranked Platte County in a showdown. Foster had six catches for 174 yards and a score, a play where he caught a tipped passed and ran 53 yards for the score. He accounted for a bulk of QB Andrew Hedgecorth Andrew Hedgecorth 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Smithville | 2023 State MO ‘s 247 yards passing. Foster picked up a track and field offer from Pittsburg State this past weekend on a visit down to the Division II school. The week prior he had a game-day visit at Missouri. Foster has 20 catches on the year for 423 yards and four touchdowns.

QB Brady Slavens, 6-1, 175, Warsaw, 2022
Warsaw picked up a win over small-school powerhouse Adrian last week thanks to Slavens. He was 6 for 12 for 129 yards and two scores through the air, connecting on touchdowns of 68 yards and 15 yards. On the ground, the senior ran for 207 yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns — spanning 5 yards and 56 yards. On the season he has a combined 17 touchdowns for the 5-0 Wildcats.
