has the look of a linebacker that could play Division I if he was 30 pounds heavier. The way he fires off the ball and seemingly already knows where the play is headed before the snap, Huisman has the look of a football and film junkie.
With long arms, it’s awfully difficult to make Huisman miss as a tackler, as he’s able to stretch them out and wrap up with quite a large radius. Huisman’s read and reaction time make him difficult to escape from, to boot. The No. 15 linebacker in Iowa, Huisman is type of prospect that we could look back on in a few years after spending time in a quality training program and say ‘How did so many schools overlook this kid?’

Huisman turned heads with his performance as a junior this fall. He should be on the radar for plenty of schools at the next level as a long-limbed athlete with a frame capable of adding good weight without the loss of agility or quickness. He’s already producing while he’s developing physically. In 2025, Huisman contributed four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown as a tight end but stood out at linebacker, where he recorded 53.0 tackles (39 solo, 9.5 TFL) and 3.0 sacks. He also forced a pair of fumbles. When viewing his 11th-grade highlight video, Huisman illustrates how he earned first team all-district laurels. He diagnoses plays quickly before the snap and gets downhill in a hurry once the play is underway. He’s effective lining up at different spots in the formation and uses his hands well in avoiding or separating from blocks.
