Here are some of the top offensive performances from week 6 of the high school season…
Bryson Hill – Running Back – Rome
One of the top playmakers in North Georgia, the Rome Wolf had a monster game this past weekend in am impressive 45-27 win over Carrollton. After a slow start to the season, Hill had a breakout game against a talented Carrollton defense, rushing 19 times for 197 yards and four touchdowns. He did a little bit of everything for the Wolves that night as he also blocked a punt and returned a fumble for a touchdown. He was a game-changer and was the best player on the field for both teams when he was in the game. He showed power, athleticism, and the ability to put his team on his back. Look for more carries and opportunities to come his way moving forward.
Congrats to Bryson Hill for being named @11AliveSports Player of the Week.

Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA – Athlete – Collins Hill
He’s the top prospect in America for a reason and showed why again on Friday night. The elite WR/DB has been unstoppable the last two years and is off to an incredible senior season this fall. In a 34-0 win over East Coweta, Hunter caught 11 passes on offense for 120 yards and one touchdown. He also added a rushing touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown on defense. A lock-down cornerback as well, Hunter has elite ball skills and has enough to speed to blow by anyone once he has the ball. He’s explosive, twitchy, and has incredible balance and body control when he’s in the air. He’s a special talent and proves it time and time again each Friday night.
Congrats to Travis Hunter for being named @11AliveSports Player of the Week.

Holden Geriner Holden Geriner 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Benedictine | 2022 State GA – Quarterback – Benedictine
Maybe the top QB performance across the state, the Savanah led his Benedictine team to a huge 49-42 win over South Georgia rival Ware County. The 4-star Auburn Tiger commit put his team on his back, accounting for 6 total touchdowns in the victory. The big-armed, accurate QB at 6-foot-3 210-pounds showed off his legs as well, rushing for three of the six touchdowns. He threw all over the Gators for 440 passing yards and made big throws when he needed too all night. He made great decisions, dissected the opposing defense, and showed pin-point accuracy all night. He’s an SEC-caliber QB for a reason and he proved it Friday night.
Congrats to Holden Geriner for being named @11AliveSports Player of the Week.

Braylen Stokes – Running Back – Walton
The Walton Raiders needed a big win this weekend over nearby Roswell and got it thanks for a big game from Stokes. The quick, shift back split carries with other Raider back Sutton Smith Sutton Smith 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Walton | 2022 State GA but had one of his best games so far this season, rushing 10 times for 70 yards and two touchdowns. He ran tough between the tackles and had no problem getting to the edge on multiple occasions for a nice gain. He showed good vision, patience, and burst once the holes opened up. He ran hard once he got to the second level and fell forward for extra yards on just about every carry. He came up big in a big game and showed why he’s one of the top backs in the region during their 31-19 victory.
Friday’s NLR Player of the Game goes to Braylen Stokes (@BraylenStokes) of @WaltonRecruits. Stokes finished with 10 carries for 70 yards & 2 TDs, while spilling reps with teammate Sutton Smith.

De’Nylon Morrissette De’Nylon Morrissette 6'1" | 200 lbs | WR Brookwood | 2022 State GA – Wide Receiver – North Cobb
The playmaking receiver is finally healthy and he’s showing why he’s a four-star and one of the best in the South this year. The 6-foot-1 200-pounder has made a big impact since coming back from a hand injury that saw him miss the first few games of the season. The future Georgia Bulldog has been on a tear the last three weeks and had a monster game this past weekend against 43-0 win over Etowah. Morrissette caught only 7 passes in the victory but he went for 190 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a big-play waiting to happen who can hurt defenses in multiple ways. He’s a down-field threat who can get behind defenses with his speed, but he’s elusive and quick enough to make plays in the screen game as well. He also has a thick frame and tough to bring down after the catch. Look for him to continue his excellent play as the Warriors attempt to make a state-title run in 7A this fall.
Congrats to De’Nylon Morrissette for being named @11AliveSports and @borntocompete Player of the Week

Sammy Brown Sammy Brown 6'2" | 225 lbs | ATH Jefferson | 2024 State GA – Athlete – Jefferson
It’s hard to find another 2024 prospect who has had a better year than the excellent athlete out of Jefferson. Whether it’s at linebacker or running back, Sammy Brown Sammy Brown 6'2" | 225 lbs | ATH Jefferson | 2024 State GA , just a sophomore, is making a play. A physically imposing player already at 6-foot-2 215-pounds, Brown is a two-sport standout and one of the state’s top track and field stars as well. He’s been running through defenses all year and did it again on Friday night in a 27-7 win over Flowery Branch. Brown had two more rushing touchdowns in the victory, one from 67 yards out and another from 2 yards out. He’s tough and physical on the goal-line and between the tackles, but has more than enough speed to take it the distance if he can get to the edge.
