First up on the Watch List Episode Three, is easily one of the most versatile prospects in the 2028 class. Patchogue-Medford’s Andrew Johnstone Andrew Johnstone 6'6" | 260 lbs | TE/EDGE Patchogue-Medford | 2028 State NY , made his first impression at the Winter NY showcase, and has seen his recruitment take off this off season. Standing at 6’6″ 260-Pounds, he is massive, and has an exceptional build for a TE prospect. The Long Island Prospect also can play as an EDGE Rusher, and his film is just as nasty on the defensive side of the ball.

Johnstone is an impressive prospect, who easily has the size to play TE. On the offensive side of the ball, he can mimic a WR, ands line up across the line. He is a quick route runner, and shows good speed along with the ability to make sharp cuts at the top of his routes. He does not go down easy, and moves well after the catch, showing a good burst and evading pressure. Johnstone will find himself highly ranked when the 2028 Re-Rankings come out.

Yesterday we talked about Johnstone and his visit to UMass. The 6’6″ 260-Pound TE is proud to announce that he has earned an Offer from Mass. It is the first of many I expect Andrew to rack up at the D1 Level. We talked with him about his visit yesterday.

First up on this Sunday edition of the recruiting report is Andrew Johnstone Andrew Johnstone 6'6" | 260 lbs | TE/EDGE Patchogue-Medford | 2028 State NY . The Patchogue-Medford TE, made his first impression at our showcase in Warwick, is a monster, standing at 6’6″ 260-Pounds. Johnstone is a 2028 prospect who will find himself highly ranked in the next 2028 update. The Long Island playmaker is currently visiting UMass for their Junior Day, and touring their campus.

Johnstone was extremely impressive in Warwick. His size immediately caught my eye, as he was the first athlete I saw when entering the building. He measured in at 6’5″ 263-Pounds, which is an outstanding size for the TE position. I have no notes on his size or frame, as being just a Sophomore, he is already at the ideal numbers. I wish I saw blocking drills, as based on size and muscle I have a feeling he would be good at that aspect. He competed as a DL mainly in Warwick, but has a frame to play multiple positions across the field.

Andrew was one of the top performing defensive linemen at Saturday’s Showcase, making his presence felt from the moment he stepped on the field. A physically imposing prospect, he immediately caught attention with his long arms, consistently showing he has the length and athleticism to swat down incoming passes with ease.

For a big man, Andrew showed impressive bend and flexibility, allowing him to turn the corner and get around the edge with surprising quickness. He was also notably fast off the line during position drills, routinely gaining early leverage on his reps. With the versatility to line up as either a nose tackle or an edge rusher, Andrew projects as a disruptive defensive piece at the next level.
