Tuckahoe faced off against Haldane for the Class C Championship, to kick off Friday afternoon, and the Section 1 Championship Weekend. The Defense got to work early, as the Tigers offense got the lead within the first minute. With the score reading a blowout at halftime, both teams agreed to a running clock. The Tigers held Haldane scoreless in the second half, and picked up a shut out on their way to a Class C Championship. In this article, we will look at some prospects who impressed me during the Tigers win.

Prep Redzone's Winter Showcase is back for 2025 with more locations than ever. With the majority of the offense occurring in the first half, Reyes had a productive day. The Senior WR, displayed good footwork, and I like his first step technique, which was used, as he consistently got separation of the line. He had a number of catches, and showed good hands through catches. I liked his skills after the catch, and he showed good speed, and had was a strong threat, needing multiple players to tackle him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1355474' first='Jacob' last='Rambalski'] | WR | So | 5'8" 160-Pounds

Rambalski, is a rising prospect, and an underrated guy to watch in the 2028 class. The Sophomore, has an underrated build at the moment, but I think he will grow and gain weight in the offseason. In the game against Haldane, he was a top target in the passing game. I like Rambalski's speed a lot, and he is a serious athlete with the ball in his hands. I like his route running, and he showed a good mix of short and intermediate routes. His footwork, was solid, and even with contact, he made catches. He was a tough player to tackle, and always added extra yards after the catch. Look for Rambalski to have a breakout campaign next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1742325' first='Connor' last='Brice'] | Sr | QB | 6'4" 200-Pounds

Standing at 6'4" 200-Pounds, [player_tooltip player_id='1742325' first='Connor' last='Brice'] has elite size for the QB position. He is a player who should be receiving college interests. Brice has a cannon of an arm, and displays good ball placement. I like his ability to see downfield, and he can throw receivers open. Brice isn't just a passer, and on the ground, he has elite speed, which is used perfectly. He is a read option master, and he can identity the defense, with extreme precision. He might be the quickest guy on this Tuckahoe squad, and once he passes the line of scrimmage, he is gone. Coaches, show some love to Bruce, as it is long overdue.

Declan Connolly | Sr | RB | 5'6" 160-Pounds

Connolly is an underrated guy on this Tuckahoe squad. The run game, is elite with him and Brice in the backfield. The Senior, had a solid performance on the ground against Haldane, and showed some good skills as a RB. I liked his vision, and he always found the correct gaps, and was able to move around until he found holes. His footwork, was solid, and I liked how he was able to make sharp cuts to move through smaller holes. Despite his size, he showcased good physicality, and I like his ability to keep himself upright and moving forward through tackles. Connolly is a guy I have watched all season, and I am excited to see how he does the rest of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612387' first='Kilian' last='Curylo'] | Jr | LB | 5'11" 180-Pounds

Curylo has been the defensive MVP for the Tigers this season, and this game was no different. The Junior prospect, faced multiple double teams all game, and was the main threat to the Haldane offense. I like Curylo's motor, and he is an electric prospect, who can move sideline to sideline, He showcased good form on tackles, and I like his ability to plug holes across the line. He had his quietest game of the year, yet still managed to have a major impact for the Tigers. [player_tooltip player_id='1612387' first='Kilian' last='Curylo'], is a guy to watch as Tuckahoe heads to the state tournament.

Luca DelConte | Jr | OL/DL | 6'4" 225-Pounds

My math might be terrible, but I think on the offensive side of the ball, Luca had at least five pancakes. He was just moving defenders, and it was impressive. His frame, is a bit undersized for a lineman, but his strength is unreal. He made multiple gaps throughout the game, and used leverage and good hand placement to keep his opponents in front of him. He was also on defense, and had a solid day on that end as well. I liked his strength on the defensive side of the ball, and he showcased good form through tackles.
