There is never a secret to why standout athletes in the state of Florida are quick to grab the spotlight.
Four weeks in and we still having some amazing performances throughout the Sunshine State.
As college coaches are keeping a close watch on everything that these young men are doing, the bar is still being raised.
Check out these Week 4 performers:
Baker junior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128424" first="Kayleb" last="Wagner"]</strong> broke Yulee RB <strong>Derrick Henry's</strong> single game rushing yards record last night with 535 yards on 25 carries (6 TDs) in the Gators 49-48 win over South Walton.<strong><em> Prep Redzone Florida</em></strong> featured this impressive young man last month.
Class of 2022 S/LB, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="164057" first="Caden" last="Morrell"]</strong> had 16 tackles (11 solo) and a sack in Jacksonville Trinity Christian's thrilling win. Veteran head coach <strong>Verlon Dorminey</strong> won his 300<sup>th</sup> game in the process.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="111456" first="Preston" last="Strope"]</strong> rushed for two first-half touchdowns to lead the Knights to their best-ever start (4-0). <strong>Carter McEachean</strong> added a second-half interception.
Jacksonville Bolles picked off three interceptions before halftime, including pick-sixes by Spencer Surface and <strong>Kavon Miller</strong>, and dominated host<strong> Fernandina Beach</strong>, 49-14.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="111490" first="Andrew" last="Tabor"]</strong> grabbed two touchdown receptions from <strong>James Resar</strong> as the Jacksonville Bishop Kenny Crusaders opened at 4-0 for the first time since 2017.
Quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128342" first="Desirrio" last="Riles"]</strong> took off on a 70-yard tie-breaking dash to the end zone, lifting Class 2A runner-up Jacksonville University Christian past Bradford County.
<strong>Davion Gause</strong>, 2024 RB, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna went for 190 yards on 30 carries in major 7-0 win over Georgia's No. 1 overall team, Buford. The Lions defense is regarded as one of the best in Florida – and they backed that up against a team that does not lose much – especially at home! 2024 LB <strong>Denzel Johnson</strong> had 10 tackles and 2 sacks.
Interceptions by <strong>Clifton Morris</strong> and <strong>Javarious Johnson</strong>, and fumble recoveries by <strong>Jahbari Johnson</strong> and <strong>Davontae Kendrick</strong> guided Lake Region (Eagle Lake) to a 12-0 win over Kissimmee Poinciana.
Junior quarterback <strong>Henry Toliver</strong> engineered all the scoring, rushing for 140 yards as Haines City beat Mulberry, 46- 6. <strong>Isaiah Byrd</strong> had 60-yard and 40-yard scoring runs, and <strong>Chris Benton</strong> blocked a punt and took it to the end zone from 25 yards away.
<strong>Joe Jackson</strong> rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries as Ridge Community defeated Winter Haven, 36-26. <strong>Zach Pleuss</strong> threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior running back <strong>Amarion Baker</strong> had two touchdowns and over 200 yards, and quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50157" first="Lin" last="Johnson"]</strong> scored once on the ground and connected with sophomore wide receiver <strong>Tyson Simpson</strong> for a score as Bartow beat Lakeland Victory Christian.
<strong>John Killingsworth</strong> threw for a touchdown, ran for another and blocked a field goal for a touchdown as new coach <strong>Jerrime 'Squatty' Bell</strong> and Port Orange Atlantic came up with the first win of the season over Pine Ridge.
Sunlake QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50175" first="Kevin" last="Spillane"]</strong> threw for 183 yards and 2 touchdowns, rushed for 48 yards and 2 more scores in a win over Fivay. He has accounted for 800 total yards this season.
Fort Myers Bishop Verot standout and University of Miami commitment <strong>Chris Graves</strong> had 186 and two touchdowns receiving and another score on an interception return.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="108659" first="Brady" last="Denaburg"]</strong> threw touchdown passes of 65 and 1 yards to <strong>Dallas Donahue</strong>, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128798" first="Sean" last="Mayo"], Maddox Moss</strong> and <strong>Jacob Woods</strong> each intercepted passes as Merritt Island beat Palm Bay, 44-12.
<strong>Anthony Bridgewater, Daryl Smith, Jaylen Howard</strong> and <strong>L.J. Watkins</strong> all scored touchdowns as Rockledge remained unbeaten with a win over Bayside.
<strong>Eddie Combs</strong> caught touchdown passes of 2 and 65 yards from <strong>Gage Malkin</strong>, who accounted for all 4 scores as Satellite remained unbeaten with a win over Titusville.
Record-setting senior quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="108646" first="Casey" last="St. John"]</strong> was responsible for five Orlando Boone touchdowns in the first half and the Braves scored a decisive district win. He's now the all-time leader for touchdown passes with 46 for one of the oldest schools in Orlando.
<strong>Devin Johnson</strong> and <strong>James Mesidor</strong> both scored on pick-6 interception returns for Orlando Lake Nona.
<strong>Joe Joe Patti</strong> was 12-of-15 passing with 325 yards and five TDs to go with 85 yards rushing in a win for West Oaks. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="192504" first="Maccai" last="Brave"]</strong> had five catches for 190 yards and three scores.
Unbeaten Tampa Jesuit used a pair of big plays by Wake Forest commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="111473" first="Jaydn" last="Girard"]</strong> (138 all-purpose yards) took off on jet sweep for an 87-yard touchdown run and senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128419" first="Joquez" last="Smith"]</strong> (18 carries, 172 yards) paved the way for a fourth straight win.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204114" first="Joshua" last="Robinson"]</strong>, WR, Clearwater Calvary Christian had 6 receptions for 167 yards and 3 scores.
<strong>Najeeb Smith</strong> sparked Fort White's win with a 63-yard TD catch and a long interception return for a score. <strong>Kamarion Griffin</strong> added a touchdown.
Miami Gulliver Prep 2022 QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50150" first="Carson" last="Haggard"]</strong> completed 27 balls for 401 yards and 6 touchdowns. Four of those scoring passes went to fellow Tulane commit <strong>De'Carlo Donaldson</strong>.
<strong>Stanley Bryant</strong>, Naples, accounted for 178 yards and 3 scores.
Naples First Baptist QB <strong>Ty Keller</strong> accounted for 7 touchdowns and 308 yards.
Kissimmee Osceola's <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128797" first="Bo" last="Mascoe"]</strong> intercepted 3 passes in the 2nd quarter at Olympia. He returned one for a 65-yard TD.
