Blessed with athleticism to match, he can make acrobatic, leaping plays on the ball. A well-coached prospect, Ferrara makes clear reads in pursuit of tackling, lowers his pad level and shoulder upon contact, and keeps his vice leverage throughout the process. Ferrara is often in the correct position due to how well he reads his keys, which frees him up to get downhill and shoot the backside window in order to make plays underneath. If there was one prospect I had to pick to see where he is at three years, it might just be Ferrara.
