2022 Rankings: Top 10 Newcomers

With three weeks in the books, we have updated our 2022 rankings. As always, there was plenty of movement up and down the rankings. These are the Top 10 newcomers: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198032" first="Landon" last="Williams"], DE (Albuquerque)</strong>: Nobody in the Albuquerque Metro Area is more underrated than the 6-foot-3, 215 pound Williams. But he now holds offers from New Mexico Highlands and Southwestern Assemblies of God University. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198039" first="Mario" last="Lozano"], OL (Hobbs)</strong>: Lozano has become one of the best 2022 offensive linemen in the state. He committed to FCS Valparaiso in August. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198250" first="Dominic" last="Esquibel"], RB (Pojoaque Valley)</strong>: After relocating from Colorado, Esquibel has emerged as one of the top 2022 running backs in the state.  He had 524 rushing yards in the first two games ahead of Thursday night’s home contest against Highland. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198066" first="Kragen" last="Cadman"], QB (Kirtland Central)</strong>: Cadman earned the starting QB job at Kirtland Central before the season and has been a catalyst for the Broncos’ high-scoring offense. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198070" first="Julian" last="Cobos"], QB (Santa Teresa)</strong>: Cobos has taken his basketball talents and applied them to the football field. He has rushed for 302 yards and thrown for 176 as the Desert Warriors have started the campaign with a 2-1 mark. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198231" first="Aidan" last="St. John"], RB (Eldorado)</strong>: After injuries to other players thrust him into the spotlight, St. John has emerged as one of the top running backs in Class 6A. He has 355 yards on 80 carries in the first three games. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198240" first="John" last="Fahey"], OL (Eldorado)</strong>: Who has been opening the holes for St. John? Fahey is listed at 6-foot-5, 298 pounds. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198241" first="Joshua" last="Sanchez"], RB (Alamogordo)</strong>: The Tigers hoped somebody would step up and replace [player_tooltip player_id="26190" first="Sean" last="Hays"] at running back. Sanchez has 223 yards in the first three games. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198283" first="Diego" last="Snell-Martinez"], RB (Bloomfield)</strong>: Snell-Martinez, who doubles as both running back and linebacker, is one of the leaders for a Bloomfield team that’s off to a 3-0 start. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="198295" first="Devin" last="Rice"], Rio Rancho</strong>: Rice exploded out of obscurity a couple of weeks ago when he broke off a 90-yardTD run against La Cueva.
