KERSHAW | A bit of a fall chill was in the air Friday night in Kershaw County as North Central stunned Andrew Jackson with a 17-7 win. A safety in the first quarter gave North Central an early 2-0 lead that held until the third quarter.   Andrew Jackson responded to take a 7-2 lead in the early part of the third quarter, but that's when North Central quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1820699' first='Brayden' last='Price'] (111 rushing yards, one touchdown) and running back [player_tooltip player_id='1816211' first='Johnathan' last='Coats'] (68 rushing yards, one touchdown) took over. Price (pictured) expressed his pleasure with the blocking from his lineman and the ability to stick to Friday's gameplan.   "That one was done by the guys up front," he said. "Without them blocking, we don't get all those rushing yards. I thought the gameplan was great as well. We got down 7-2 but we stuck with it, and it got us this huge win and I'm extremely proud of my teammates."   Other North Central Standouts   [player_tooltip player_id='1823266' first='Zayden' last='Burch'] WR/DB, 2027 - Burch hauled in three catches for 22 yards. He also was stellar defensively at cornerback, coming up with numerous pass breakups. Much like Burch, he played solid at corner wen targeted.   [player_tooltip player_id='1823265' first='Quayson' last='Peoples'] MLB/RB, 2026 - Peoples was the leader of the defense at linebacker, as he was in on what felt like every other tackle. Offensively, he added three carries for 12 yards. He led the way in the run blocking and was disruptive in the Andrew Jackson backfield throughout the game. He helped limit several carries to minimal game with his disruption at the line of scrimmage and in the backfield.   Andrew Jackson Standouts   [player_tooltip player_id='1822649' first='Logan' last='Neal'] QB, 2026 - Neal completed 17 of his 31 passes for 141 yards a touchdown.   Jayce Brown WR, 2027 - Brown was Neal's favorite target, hauling in seven catches for 53 yards and a touchdown.   [player_tooltip player_id='1394996' first='Damias' last='Seegars'] RB, 2026 - An unusual game saw Seegars tally just five carries for seven yards. He also hauled in four catches for 22 yards. Braylon Harley RB, 2029 - The freshman was by far the best option in the ground game, tallying 42 yards on just six carries. Carter was consistently in on tackles that limited the North Central ground attack.
