Expert Analysis
Matt Morrow | Prep Redzone Scout
Incredible production is what puts Parker on my list here at #4 in the Western NC running back rankings. This past season on an eye-popping 256 carries, Parker produced 2148 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns – as a sophomore! He’s got two more years to terrorize Western NC defenses, and if he continues at this rate, he’ll be up there with some of the top rushers in the history of the state. Parker’s vision is elite, and the ability to cut off his blocks allows him to get into the open field at a high percentage. I think if Parker continues to grow physically, he’ll start to get some recruiting interest over time.

Willis put up over 2,000 rushing yards last season, thanks to excellent athletic ability and impressive vision. He’s able to find little openings to turn five-yard runs into 15-yard runs, and when he’s in the open field, he’s incredibly difficult to bring down. He doesn’t run over a ton of people, but he’s difficult to square up, meaning tackles that should be routine turn into arm tackles and silly-looking lunges. A new addition in October, Willis is steadily climbing our rankings.

Willis had a decent freshman season, but has taken his game to a completely new level as a sophomore. He’s running with confidence, decisiveness, and attitude for North Henderson. It’s not a schedule thing, as he looked great against Brevard. He has power, balance, and speed to the edge. If he continues to develop, this isn’t the highest he’ll ever be in the rankings.
