Wilson, McNeely Lead North Myrtle Beach to Convincing WIn

MYRTLE BEACH | A chilly and wet evening in Socastee saw a North Myrtle Beach rushing attack led by [player_tooltip player_id='1822553' first='Will' last='McNeely'] (14 carries, 53 yards, touchdown) and [player_tooltip player_id='1824442' first='Jayden' last='Wilson'] (19 carries, 112 yards, two touchdowns) run past Socastee en route to a 30-14 victory.   Defensively for North Myrtle, [player_tooltip player_id='1820055' first='Nigel' last='Vereen'] was consistently wreaking havoc, shutting down several players before they could get started. Vereen (pictured) was happy with his own efforts, but was mainly focused on the health of his injured teammate. [player_tooltip player_id='1824442' first='Jayden' last='Wilson'] was injured late in the game and required extensive medical attention. Ultimately, the game was called early.   "For myself, I'm happy with what I did. I worked hard to put myself in positions to make the players. I'm really concerned for Jayden," he said. "He's a leader for us and I hope that he is able to bounce back from his scary injury."   Other North Myrtle Standouts   [player_tooltip player_id='1822564' first='Dustin' last='Clement'] TE, 2027 - Clement is listed as a tight end on the roster, but he made his impact in the ground game. He carried four times for 21 yards and added a touchdown. He also added a half-sack on the defensive line.   Jashan Grace DB, 2027 - Grace collected one of two takeaways on the North Myrtle defense with an interception in the later stages of the game. [player_tooltip player_id='1639819' first='Michael' last='Cavallini'] DB, 2026 - Another defensive back on the list, Cavallini was in on several tackles as well as playing lockdown corner when the ball was thrown toward his side of the field.   [player_tooltip player_id='1822639' first='Jonathan' last='Evans'] LB, 2027 - Evans was a playmaker in the middle of the field and it felt like he was involved in nearly every tackle of the game.   Socastee Standouts   [player_tooltip player_id='1429140' first='Christian' last='Royals'] QB, 2026 - Royals tallied 41 yards on eight completions and added 24 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.   [player_tooltip player_id='1821027' first='David' last='Covalli'] LB, 2026 - Covalli was extremely productive on defense, as well as adding one carry for 19 yards on a fake punt to begin the second quarter.   [player_tooltip player_id='1816423' first='Elijah' last='Owens'] RB, 2029 - Owens tallied 16 yards on five carries and he looked extremely good doing so. His hard-nosed, downhill attack made it hard to be brought down with just one defender. Gavin Hutchinson DB, 2026 - Hutchinson got involved in the turnover game, as he made an athletic play in the first half to collect an interception.
