CHARLESTON | Not much went wrong for the Philip Simmons Iron Horses on a cool Friday evening against the Woodland Timberwolves. An early 6-0 lead was all that was needed for Philip Simmons to take complete control of the game and cruise to a 36-7 win.

The offense was led by junior [player_tooltip player_id='1821540' first='Hayes' last='Goddard'] at quarterback. Goddard (pictured) finished the evening with 298 passing yards and four touchdowns. He distributed those four touchdowns between [player_tooltip player_id='1822035' first='Ashton' last='Kellermann'] (162 receiving yards, two touchdowns) and [player_tooltip player_id='1822029' first='Patrick' last='Clarke'] (61 receiving yards, two touchdowns). Goddard was confident in himself coming into the game and knew the game plan was set up well for him.

"The coaches had an excellent plan for me," Goddard said. "They put me in situations where I was comfortable, and I was able to deliver and have a good night. Ashton and Patrick helped me out with the touchdowns, so I appreciate them for that."

Other Philip Simmons Standouts

Omonte Taylor RB, 2027 - Taylor was the leading rusher on the evening, collecting 93 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. He was a true downhill runner, and it took a herd of defenders to get him down in the open field.

Blake Johnson WR/DB, 2027 - Johnson hauled in just one catch on the evening, but it was to the tune of 29 yards on what looked like a busted play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592627' first='Ethan' last='Chisum'] ATH, 2026 - Chisum was all over the field all night long. He collected a sack, fumble recovery, double digit tackles and even had a touchdown saving tackle on a kickoff return. He is undoubtedly the heart of the Philip Simmons defense

[player_tooltip player_id='1271262' first='Alex' last='Tchoryk'] DE/TE, 2027 - Tchoryk had a solid night offensively, collecting two catches for 29 yards. Defensively, he was in on multiple big hits as well as a fumble recovery.

[player_tooltip player_id='1734463' first='Montrell' last='Mungin'] DB, 2026 - Mangum collected an interception in the back of the end zone right before halftime to prevent any momentum for Woodland heading into the break.

Maquahi Washington DL, 2026 - Washington was responsible for multiple tackles for loss as well as a forced fumble early in the second half.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592672' first='CJ' last='Falotico'] K/P, 2026 - Falotico drilled both a 44-yard and 43-yard field goal. He had plenty of leg on both, and he continues be a weapon on special teams.

Woodland Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1819770' first='Al-Casio' last='Teel'] WR, 2026 - Teel was the main target, as he hauled in four catches for 32 yards

[player_tooltip player_id='1603798' first='Jervaze' last='Salley'] QB, 2027 - Salley finished the night with 91 passing yards and a touchdown.
