Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A crafty pass-catcher from Perry who knows how to get open and make big plays down the field, Hoots may not play against the best competition, but he’s a guy who could make an impact in any classification due to his reliable hands, natural quickness, and big-play ability. He was a consistent weapon all season long and easily one of the best offensive players in the region. The Middle Georgia wideout hauled in 57 passes for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games. He’s one of the fastest receivers in the area among all classifications and should be in store for an even bigger senior season in 2027.

A multi-sport athlete who shines on both sides of the ball, Hoots plays at a small school but plays at a high level week after week. One of the best pure athletes in the region, Hoots has been a really dependable pass-catcher so far this season as a junior, catching 29 passes for 514 yards and six touchdowns. He’s hit the 80-yard mark in four of his six games and has scored at least one touchdown in every game but one. He can stretch the field, shows strong hands, and is really strong after the catch. He’s one of the top players in the region and is in the middle of a fantastic junior season.
