This won’t be the last time you hear me say it in this PRZMN feature, but Bemidji State has been recruiting the state of Minnesota better than anyone in 2025. The Beavers are really digging deep and uncovering Outstate gems from all around the state, including from Thief River Falls’ Lincoln High School, where 6’2 DB Tucker Grindeland Tucker Grindeland 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB/WR Thief River Falls | 2026 State MN calls home. The 170 lb. three-phase contributor has been as versatile as he has been productive through the first four games of the season, posting 4 INTs for 135 return yards and 1 TD while adding 3 PBUs, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 kickoff return for a TD, 3 catches for 103 yards and 1 TD, and 1 rush for 41 yards, showing a heckuva stat sheet through the midway point of the 2025 regular season.

The Beavers took note, offering the senior his first overall offer (what a start!) and must be fans of Grindeland’s ability to read, trigger, and undercut routes smoothly and with precision, perfectly baiting and timing up the jumps at the ball where his sticky hands can capitalize when they’re near the rock. The second rep of his midseason tape show off a bouncy athlete with some serious 50/50 ball capability, as he times up a fade ball and seems to levitate to snag the ball right at its high point over the head of a helpless CB. This rep really got his teammates and sideline fired up. The 6’2 ATH’s explosiveness is highlighted by his KOR TD, where his acceleration and contact balance really pop off the screen, and that same speed as the deep safety shows up in his defensive range in coverage, where he can patrol the back-half of the field with deadly effectiveness. Plus, Grindeland displays great ball skills and can play man coverage out on the perimeter or from the slot with equal impact. Three-phase producer, great frame, playmaker, there’s a ton to like in the future NSIC playmaker.
