Here is this week's notes of recruiting in the Show-Me State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Wyoming Cowboys has done a nice job recruiting the St. Louis area in recent years and continued that trend with a verbal commitment from Ft. Zumwalt North 2026 DL [player_tooltip player_id='1125463' first='Xavier' last='Jackson'] (6'3" 260) that just happened today. Jackson has been one of the top defensive linemen in the area for the past three years showing his playmaking ability and being able to pressure the QB.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Current James Madison verbal commit [player_tooltip player_id='849688' first='Rocco' last='Marriott'] (6'4" 212) 2026 QB at Platte County landed an offer from West Virginia this week. Marriott is off to a monster start having his team at 5-0 and having already thrown for over 1,600 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing over 80% of his throws. The dual threat has also run for 355 yards and 5 more touchdowns. Other schools have decided to continue to recruit him as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Marriott's teamate, WR [player_tooltip player_id='1260478' first='Braiden' last='Stevens'] (5'10" 170), who has been committed to South Dakota State since summer, also picked up an offer from West Virginia this past week. The speedy receiver was on a official visit to James Madison this weekend. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brentwood-Clayton 2026 EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1665280' first='Demeterius' last='Thompson'](6'4" 225) is another player currently committed to a school (Southeast Missouri) that other schools have decided to continue recruiting. Ohio University offered Thompson this week. He is one of the top pass rushers in the Midwest and has a tremendous upside with his speed and athletic ability. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2028 TE [player_tooltip player_id='1294184' first='Ridge' last='Janes'] (6'5" 235) at De Smet added an offer from the USC Trojans for his 26th offer joining teams like Alabama, LSU, Mizzou, Michigan, Florida State, Oregon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>CBC 2026 TE [player_tooltip player_id='1250640' first='Max' last='Purcell'] (6'2" 224) picked up an offer from Ottawa University this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rolla 2026 TE/DE [player_tooltip player_id='1626068' first='Cameron' last='Brown'] (6'3" 225) added an offer from Kansas Wesleyan this past Thrusday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lee's Summit North 2026 WR/TE Will Ray (6'2" 220) received his third offer of his recruitment from Missouri Valley.
