Northern Highlands is no stranger to success and top athletes, but having a prospect as dynamic as Tucker Kanning Tucker Kanning 6'2" | 200 lbs | RB Northern Highlands | 2027 State NJ is rare – even for the Highlanders. For as tall as he is, Kanning runs very low when possessing the ball. Canning also does a great job accelerating in the open field when there is acreage ahead of him. On defense we find Kanning playing centerfield safety, backpedalling low as he reads his keys, only to break and explode with a full body shot to break up passes as the ball arrives. Not lost upon him is the ability to play in run support. We see Kanning roll down and press the point man in bunch formations, disrupting things enough to make tackles after shedding those blocks. Kanning is quick enough to also make plays from the inside-out. With long legs and soft hands, he can gain ground quickly and is a reliable target. Although it appears he is striding, he moves much faster than I think a strider typically does.
