One of only quarterbacks to participate in this event was Drew Ellis. Still just in the 7th grade, Ellis got a lot of work in with bigger, faster, and strong prospects. I thought that Ellis had a quick release. It seemed as though his throws were a bit sharper in the middle of the field, rather than the boundary, has slants/ins/zigs/Texas routes all led his receivers upfield. When throwing upfield and toward the boundaries, Ellis’ passes tended to tail back toward the middle of the field a bit too much.
