Torrey Pines defensive end [player_tooltip player_id="141881" first="Zach" last="Rowell"] announced his commitment on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5, 260 pound defensive end told 247Sports that he always loved it at Stanford but his official visit sealed the deal for him. He is a very good edge rusher but a lot of scouts think he could bulk up and be a three-technique as well.
Rowell chose Stanford over 11 other schools including Miami, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA and USC.
He is the third player from California in Stanford’s 2022 class joining a pair of Sierra Canyon players [player_tooltip player_id="25251" first="Kenji" last="Swanson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25230" first="Kamari" last="Ramsey"].

Servite star receiver [player_tooltip player_id="25227" first="Tetairoa" last="McMillan"] verbally committed to Oregon on Monday.
McMillan is the second ranked receiver in the state according to Prep Redzone but I think he and [player_tooltip player_id="25224" first="CJ" last="Williams"] are neck and neck for the top spot. He is fast, lengthy, has a huge catch radius and high points the ball better than anyone. He has faced the top defensive backs in the nation like [player_tooltip player_id="25223" first="Domani" last="Jackson"] and played well.
He chose Oregon over 22 other schools including BYU, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas and USC among others. He turned down a chance to go to the University of Arizona with his Servite teammates [player_tooltip player_id="25286" first="Noah" last="Fifita"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25242" first="Keyan" last="Burnett"].
With the addition of McMillan, Oregon has the top ranked recruiting class in the Pac 12 according to 247Sports.

Mater Dei corner [player_tooltip player_id="25274" first="Cam" last="Sidney"] announced his commitment to Cal last Saturday.
Sidney is a member of Mater Dei’s outstanding secondary with [player_tooltip player_id="25223" first="Domani" last="Jackson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25264" first="Josh" last="Hunter"].
He is skinny at around 165 pounds but is very fast and can tackle as well as a guy 20 pounds heavier than him.
Sidney had offers from SEC schools like Arkansas and Ole Miss and other Pac 12 schools like Oregon State.
He is the fifth player from California in Cal’s 2022 recruiting class and the first defensive back. Cal has the No. 6 recruiting class in the Pac 12 according to 247Sports.

Cathedral Catholic (San Diego) offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="187319" first="Rambo" last="Mageo"] decided to stay local and commit to San Diego State.
Mageo is 6-5, 305 pounds and is projected to be an offensive tackle, though he plays both ways at Cathedral. He is arguably the best lineman on the best team in San Diego and is a nice get for the Aztecs.
He is the sixth player from California in San Diego State’s 2022 recruiting class. He is the second offensive lineman in the class joining Laakea Kapoi from Hawaii.
