Expert Analysis
Matthew Layton | Prep Redzone Scout
After rushing for more than 2,000 yards as a junior, 2027 Sipsey Valley RB Isaiah Bennett arrived at Faulkner with plenty of production behind him. Bennett’s compact 5’8 195 frame was noticeable right away, and he carried that build well throughout the workout. He was one of the smoother running backs I watched during position drills, showing good balance, quality footwork, and fluid movement. Bennett is also comfortable as a receiver, using his burst to create separation and get open. His testing numbers were solid with a 4.65 40 and 7.6 L Drill, adding to his athletic profile. Bennett put together a quality day and showed why he has been such a productive player on Friday nights.

Bennett, who totaled 2000 yards last year, has flown way beneath the radar, but we still have him ranked fairly high here at PRZ. He is a tall, long player who plays bigger than listed. Has plenty of size to fill out and get over 200 pounds, but he still wills his way through contact. He is a long strider in space, and his acceleration to his top gear sticks out on tape. Underrated player with D1 upside.

Bennett is a high-motor runner whose production reflects consistency and toughness. With over 2,000 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, he’s proven he can handle volume without sacrificing efficiency. His one-cut style keeps him decisive and north-south- leading to a sustainable run style that’ll translate to the next level.
His ability to press the line before committing forces linebackers to declare early paired with his initial burst off the snap allows him to maximize carries. He’s a smooth runner in the open field that has contact balance and lateral movement in the tool box. Bennett keeps his pad level controlled through traffic and rarely wastes steps bouncing runs unnecessarily. He may not be the loudest name, but his reliability and proven production shows he’s a top flight guy in his position.

“I hadn’t watched Bennett before this week, but man, he impressed. He’s an incredibly physical back who makes defenders work to take him down. He runs hard, has great contact balance, and can easily shed off/power through anyone trying to take him down.
Bennett also has impressive vision that helps lead him to huge plays on the ground. He’s great at finding lanes and does a great job waiting for and following his blockers around the field.“

Bennett is a high-motor, no-quit runner whose production reflects his consistency and toughness. With over 2,000 rushing yards on 237 carries and 21 touchdowns, he’s proven he can shoulder volume while maintaining efficiency. His one-cut style allows him to optimize plays and get north quickly.
Despite a lankier frame, Bennett runs smoother than expected, showing contact balance, stride efficiency, and enough long speed to finish explosives. He’s slippery in the open field and difficult to square up, making him a back who wears down defenses while still threatening chunk gains.

Bennett runs with a combination of toughness and finesse that makes him one of the more complete backs in 5A. His lateral quickness and subtle cuts allow him to consistently make the first defender miss, while his change-of-direction skills and field instincts help him find daylight where there seems to be none. He’s explosive through contact, running behind his pads with balance and determination, and can generate extra yards after first contact. With over 2,000 rushing yards and 21 total touchdowns, Bennett’s blend of power, vision, and elusiveness makes him the type of back who can carry an offense deep into the postseason.
