At a mere 5-foot-9, Peay doesn’t look like your traditional nose guard. That is, until you see him dominate in person or watch his film. After what you would already describe as an above-average junior year, he has exploded this fall.
Believe us when we tell you Fairfield Central has been a dominant program against larger competition to this point because of players like Peay. Out of the Griffons’ first six games, he didn’t flex in only one of those. In using his burst off the snap, he’s racked up 12 tackles for loss, three sacks and five forced fumbles – with all of those figures coming against schools from higher classifications.
Simply, he’s forcing his way into the backfield and creating havoc for the No. 1 team in Class A. And he hasn’t even been playing against Class A offensive linemen yet. Needless to say, he could have a monster October and November.
