Here’s an 8-man prospect you won’t want to miss! Hartington-Newcastle’s Carter Kelly Carter Kelly 6'5" | 195 lbs | TE Hartington-Newcastle | 2026 NE had a stellar performance in the Wildcats’ 49-26 win over Ainsworth. The two-way standout recorded three receptions, 91 receiving yards, 13 tackles, four TFLs, and three sacks. At 6’5″ and 200 pounds, Carter has a frame that projects well to several positions at the collegiate level, including TE and defensive end. On offense, Carter’s size creates instant mismatches while also having the strength and toughness to be a reliable target over the middle of the field. He showed some nice burst when turning upfield, which resulted in some nice gain after the catch. Flashed as a blocker. Defensively, he plays with a great motor and is explosive when shooting his gaps. His long strides allow him to close on the ball effectively while getting his long arms up to disrupt passing lanes. High-ceiling prospect here as Carter continues to grow physically and can make the jump to 11-man at the next level.
