is a versatile player who can line up as an EDGE rusher or outside linebacker. Now a sophomore, he’s working with an updated frame of 6’4″ and 235 pounds. That extra size has boded well for Reed, who has turned that into production on the defensive end. He’s explosive out of his stance and can get upfield in a hurry. Reed utilizes a flurry of pass rush techniques that help him cut around the edge in pursuit of the quarterback. Reed has great reaction timing and, despite his size, is agile and athletic enough to break off his defender and chase defenders down in the second and third levels of the defense.

is coming off a strong freshman year. This past season, he created havoc in opposing backfields as he was able to use his explosive speed to run by opposing offensive linemen before they had a chance to block him. Reed recorded 10 tackles for loss and three sacks in 11 games as a freshman. He also finished the year with 58 total tackles and showed the ability to drop into coverage, coming away with two interceptions. Reed is a player who I expect college coaches to start paying close attention to this upcoming season.

established himself as the top edge defender in the state in his class with a strong freshman year. Reed caused a ton of disruption against the run in his first season. He explodes out of his stance and uses his speed to burst into the backfield before opposing offensive tackles have a chance to block him. Once he gets to the ball carrier, Reed does a great job of running his feet through contact to secure the tackle quickly and not allow for any extra yards to be gained. Kobe recorded 58 tackles and 10 tackles for loss in 11 games as a freshman. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass, finishing the year with three sacks and two interceptions. Reed will be a player worth keeping a close eye on heading into his sophomore year.

out of Knox Central High School is a Tight End prospect to get familiar with early in his high school career. A two-sport athlete, Reed is already dunking a basketball with ease as he starts high school. Watching him on film it’s easy how to see how the two sports shape his style of play. As a Tight End he can stretch the field vertically with his speed on the outside and then high point the ball — just like getting a rebound. Additionally, he does an elite job of continuing to move to get open if he sees his Quarterback is scrambling and in trouble. A skill that is akin to continuing to cut and move to get a pass.
