7A District 9 Wide Receivers to Watch in 2021

Today we look at prospects from 7A District 9. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. He is one of the most explosive receivers in Hillsborough County. Pittman was a 3rd team All-State selection, he’s a slot receiver with great top-end speed, burst, acceleration, and is good at using subtle moves and hesitation to set up his routes to gain separation. He’s one of the better cornerbacks in the county and this spring looks to have moved over to the offensive side of the ball as well and should have a huge role this season for Gaither on offense. He shows outstanding burst and acceleration after the catch, shows the ability to drop his shoulder and run through tackles, and has top-level breakaway speed. He’s a very good blocker showing aggressiveness and a mean streak in that area of his game. He has several division one offers including offers from USF, Liberty, and University of Buffalo. Hubbard led the team with 19 catches for 285 yards. He possesses very good change-of-direction ability, shows outstanding balance and running ability on quick screens. He’s very good at creating space with sharp burst and smooth acceleration, Largo does a good job getting him out in space and showing off his natural playmaking and running ability. Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11188556/Cornell-Hubbard   Javohn Thomas- Sickles High 6’3 200lbs Thomas was a player that I had the opportunity to watch live last season and he was the most impressive receiver that I saw all year. He’s the total package with height, speed, and leaping ability that’s unmatched. He’s a very good route runner, showing the ability to drop his hips and get in and out of this breaks easily, does a good job changing speeds and setting up his routes to gain separation, shows natural hands and plucks the ball out of the air. He’s a big rangy/physical receiver that does a good job sinking his hips and getting in and out of his breaks, shows very good top end speed and posted a 4.53 40 at the FIU camp, has good acceleration and drives hard up field and gets defenders on their heels at times, shows a big catch radius. Nice prospect that’s an outstanding student with a 4.13 GPA, coaches need to jump on right away.
