2025 Preseason Preview –  St. Michael Albertville High School

With an experienced quarterback under center and talent in the trenches, the Knights are positioned to build on last year's flashes and push for more.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Knights operate out of both under-center and shotgun formations, often tailoring their personnel groupings to accommodate the stamina and strengths of their two-way athletes. The goal is to keep their best players on the field while maintaining balance and unpredictability on offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Returning quarterback <strong>Ty Haring</strong> will be the centerpiece of the unit. As a junior, he completed 57% of his passes and showed solid decision-making when healthy. His poise and experience give the offense a stable foundation, and he'll be expected to manage the multiple formations and tempo shifts built into the scheme.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Leading the offensive line is senior tackle <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1648472' first='Mason' last='Knoblach']</strong>, a tone-setter up front who will also contribute defensively. His combination of size and footwork gives the Knights an anchor in both the run and pass game. Inside, junior center <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1771950' first='Jared' last='Brutger']</strong> is another critical returning starter. At 6-foot-3, 270 pounds, Brutger has college-level potential and will play a major role in both protection and communication along the line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Junior <strong>Cooper Steele</strong> is a hybrid tight end and outside linebacker who thrives on contact. At 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, Steele is a capable target in short-yardage or play-action situations. His ability to set the edge and contribute in multiple roles keeps the Knights flexible with formations and play calls.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Wyatt Mosher</strong> adds an explosive element to the attack. One of the team's fastest athletes, Mosher ran 11.1 in the 100 meters and 22.7 in the 200 as a sophomore. Now entering his junior year, he's expected to start at safety but may see touches at running back as well. His athleticism and instincts give the staff options to move him around, particularly in space-oriented offensive packages.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the middle of the defense, returning captain <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1574993' first='Zach' last='Marble']</strong> leads the way. The 200-pound inside linebacker was second on the team in tackles last season and is one of the fastest players on the roster. His sideline-to-sideline range and downhill explosiveness make him a key disruptor against both the run and pass.
