Updated: Oregon 2028 Rankings (21-40)

Per usual rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level. Here will we break down #21-40 although they are technically not in any numerical order below.         *PLEASE NOTE- This is very much just a preliminary list with the athletes still being so young. There will be numerous changes and individuals added in the coming months/years.         [player_tooltip player_id='1609778' first='Justin' last='Shellito'] 6-2 195 QB Centennial    Elite 11 trainer Alex Brink, one of Oregon's all-time great QB's, says Shellito could be special. He has a legit frame with the arm to match. That being said Centennial has struggled as a program so it might be tough.    [player_tooltip player_id='1600443' first='Zach' last='Pollard'] 6-3 180 WR Sunset   I would expect Pollard to have a big sophomore year at the varsity level. He had an outstanding offseason and should immediately get in the mix for the Apollos.    [player_tooltip player_id='1611484' first='Collin' last='Stortro'] 6-0 170 RB Glencoe   Coach Reynoso will have a pair of elite RBs with POY [player_tooltip player_id='1232743' first='Daniel' last='Heninger'] returning and Stortro who could be a 1st team all-state guy on both sides of the ball at the 5A level. The Crimson Tide could win a couple playoff games.    [player_tooltip player_id='1612598' first='Quenton' last='Lake'] 6-4 195 QB North Salem   Lake has looked good on the 7v7 circuit and has a ton of potential at 6-4 with a good arm. North is primarily a running team and has struggled overall going 1-8 last year. That will be the biggest hurdle.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609605' first='Karoderick' last='Smith'] 5-7 155 CB Tualatin    Easily one of the most talented kids in Oregon for his class. He's originally from Alabama and knows how to play good football. If he grows, he's a D1 guy at some level.    [player_tooltip player_id='1750578' first='Reef' last='Donahue'] 6-6 235 DE/TE Central Catholic   You can't teach the size and the potential that comes with it especially at such a young age. He participated at the Northwest Showcase but has very limited film other than that.   [player_tooltip player_id='1612591' first='Ethan' last='Peng'] 6-1 170 QB/DB West Linn   Peng is a legit baseball guy and may go that route collegiately, but he will have options. He brings a QB mindset to the secondary and could end up one of the better DB's in Oregon.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609799' first='Brennan' last='Christian'] 5-11 205 OLB/DE Willamette    It's hard to say where he projects due to size, but he's definitely one of the better players in the state for his class. As a freshman he put up some of the best numbers in the NW among 28's, finishing with 46 tackles, 4 sacks, and 4 TFL's.    [player_tooltip player_id='1750438' first='Jeneral' last='Lewis'] 6-1 175 WR Central Catholic   His film is impressive. CC is always loaded on the perimeter, but I could Lewis stepping in and doing well as a sophomore. His combination of size and ability after the catch is notable.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609837' first='Jayden' last='Terry'] 6-4 215 DE Eagle Point   There is a lot yet to be determined here but Terry has the size to do some big things at a young age. He's still relatively unknown playing down South.    [player_tooltip player_id='1611539' first='Kyle' last='Benson'] 6-2 165 DB/ATH West Linn   Benson broke out on the 7v7 circuit this offseason as part of Team Alpha specifically on the defensive side of the ball. Look for him to be a multiyear starter for a loaded Lions group in the seasons ahead.    [player_tooltip player_id='1612604' first='Tyce' last='Keeton'] 6-3 165 DB/WR Sherwood   Just a long and very versatile athlete. Keeton has the physical tools and ability to get some varsity time this season and do well. Expect him to be one of the best in the Pacific Conference over the next few years.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609785' first='Taison' last='Cepeda'] 5-9 160 ATH Tigard    Cepeda is a big part of the Tigers' future. He has the potential of being an all-conference athlete as a sophomore in the state's toughest league (TRL).    [player_tooltip player_id='1612569' first='Lincoln' last='Lutu'] 6-1 195 LB Beaverton   Lutu has good genes coming from a football family. Size wise he might be topped out vertically but could be one of the better LB's in the Metro League as early as this coming season.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609772' first='Rocco' last='Caranna'] 6-1 230 DL/C Summit    You have to consider the Summit program a 5A title contender over the next few seasons. Caranna is a talented wrestler and could be a 1st team all-state guy on both sides of the football, projecting defensively.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609776' first='Tevin' last='Candelario'] 5-9 150 CB/ATH Willamette    Candelario was dominant playing freshman ball last season and could immediately step in for the Wolverines as a varsity starter on either side of the football this year. He's had one of the better off seasons of any player in the 2028 class.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609774' first='Bentlee' last='Davenport'] 5-7 140 ATH Thurston   Super talented just small. Regardless of his size, expect him to play on both sides of the football at the Varsity level for the Colts this year, and likely be an all-conference athlete.    [player_tooltip player_id='1425922' first='Tahkai' last='Smith'] 6-0 155 QB/ATH Westview   Smith had a limited role-playing varsity ball as a freshman. He plays the QB spot but may project more in the secondary where he had 10+ tackles. Regardless he is a talented athlete.    [player_tooltip player_id='1751515' first='DuShawn' last='Stephens'] 5-11 155 DB Crescent Valley   Stephens is a multi-sport standout (basketball) and had one of the better freshman campaigns statewide last year, finishing with 27 tackles. He will need to step up big for CV with departure of Thomas and Knox to Willamette.    [player_tooltip player_id='1752104' first='Wyatt' last='Rose'] 6-1 220 OL Lakeridge   Rose is undersized but started as a freshman for one of the top ranked programs in the state. The Pacers are loaded up front with some elite transfers, but he should still be in the mix.
