Geer might be under the radar to some, but ever since we first heard of him in last year’s deep dive piece, we’ve been more and more impressed with the rising junior. He has fantastic length, hips, and feet, and teams often avoid him, rather than tested his ball skills. Still, he had seven pass breakups and a pick when targeted in 2025.
Geer is a bit under the radar, largely because he’s one of those defensive backs that offenses simply avoid. When the ball is in the air, though, there’s a good chance he’s going to make a play. He had seven pass deflections and an interception on only a handful of targets. He missed a bit of time with an injury, further limiting his exposure, but as he fills out his frame, he should start to pop up on the recruiting radar of local FBS schools.
Known most for his abilities on the basketball court, Geer is a high-upside corner who is just a rising sophomore. Chapel Hill had no problems leaving him on an island from the first snap of his high school career. He has long arms and good hips. He’ll need to add weight/strength to improve his tackling, an opportunity for improvement seen on his film, but I really liked what I saw from him.
