Williams has a massive frame and he used it well last fall for the Eagles, on his way to 9 tackles for loss in his junior campaign. He also produced 7 sacks on the year, for a total of 35 yards lost. He also had 60 tackles on the season, with an average of 6 tackles per game, in 10 games played. Williams holds quite a few offers and recently dropped his top-5 schools, including the University of Georgia and in-state East Carolina.

Williams recorded 2 sacks and consistently collapsed the pocket, making life difficult for the opposing quarterback all night long. His blend of size, length, and relentless motor gives him the tools to be a nightmare for offensive linemen and a legitimate college-level prospect. Williams’ impact went beyond the stat sheet — his presence demanded attention and helped the entire Northeastern defense control the line of scrimmage from start to finish.

When we looked at some lower-classification players for our 3A/4A series, we came away impressed with Williams, a massive and long interior defender who is just scratching the surface of his potential. He barely missed our 3A All-State Team, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up as one of the more productive interior linemen in the 3A class this season.

Williams seems to be flying a bit under the radar for someone as big, young, and talented as he is. He has legitimate college size and strength and flashed dominance as a sophomore for Northeastern. 55 tackles, three sacks, and two fumble recoveries is great production, but it’s the flashes of instant pass-rushing wins shown on film that really raise his ceiling.
