Final Day of Southwest Elite 7-on-7 Preview

The first day of the Southwest Elite 7-on-7 brought with it some surprises. The Rogers Mounties have looked extremely impressive thus far in the tournament. Ozark has come into this tournament ready to play as well. In this preview, we are going to give a few more players to keep an eye on in today’s action. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91976" first="Malachi" last="Henry"]-Wide Receiver-Van Buren-2023</strong> Henry is a player to watch as we enter day two of the Southwest Elite tournament. Henry has the size at 6-1 to create plenty of matchup mismatches. Henry earned 6A-All Conference honors in 2020. He has shown a knack for hauling in the big reception when the Pointers need it. Henry is a player to keep an eye on today as the tournament moves into survive and advance mode. Look for Henry to make some big plays throughout the day. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="170739" first="Noah" last="Goodshield"]-Quarterback-Rogers-2022</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="170739" first="Noah" last="Goodshield"] is a player that has performed extremely well in the tournament. He has led the Mounties to 8-0 record against quality competition. Goodshield has been accurate with the football and his wide receivers have been making plays. He has shown an impressive deep ball and he does a good job of hitting his wide receivers in stride. The Mounties are going to be a deep to watch out for on day two of the tournament. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75093" first="Kaden" last="Henley"]-Linebacker-Shiloh Christian-2022</strong> The Saints wen 7-1 on day one of the tournament and one player that was impressive on the first day was [player_tooltip player_id="75093" first="Kaden" last="Henley"]. Henley was all over the field for the Saints. He has always been solid in the pass coverage department; however, he is starting to get the timing down. Henley set the bar high for an impressive second day of the competition. Shiloh Christian has the potential to go deep in this tournament and fans will get a good luck at the future Arkansas Razorback Henley. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="170740" first="Finley" last="Bunch"]-Wide Receiver-Rogers-2022</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="170740" first="Finley" last="Bunch"] has a talent for finding a way to get open. The Rogers Mountie consistently got open all day during the first day of the competition. The Rogers passing game looks to be in mid-season form. Bunch does a good job on running intermediate routes. Meanwhile, he was extremely effective running deep passing routes. Bunch is another Rogers Mountie that has the potential to not only have a strong tournament but a strong 2021 season. Keep an eye on him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171123" first="Trenton" last="Stokes"]-Wide Receiver-Russellville-2022</strong> Stokes is a player to keep an eye on as day two of the tournament starts. Stokes has excellent size at 6-3 and the athletic ability to cause plenty of problems for opposing defensive backs. Stokes has the potential to have a big second day of the tournament. However, he is another play on this list today that has the potential to have a strong 2021 season. The Cyclones will open up play this morning against Ozark. The tournament final will be this afternoon at Shiloh Christian High School, and I would like to encourage everyone to get out to Shiloh and catch some terrific 7-on-7 action. Plenty of great talent on display and numerous local teams involved in the tournament.
