Deck’s D-Line Dawgs: Northeast Kansas Seniors

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of my favorite things to do this time of the year is to watch a ton of major league baseball and imagine what position each guy would play on a football team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Of course, many major leaguers were multi-sport athletes who also played high school football and maybe even college football.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There have been a ton of home runs hit recently, and a couple of those hitters look like they could play defensive end or linebacker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For the remainder of this month, I am going to continue to emphasize prospects on the defensive side of the ball, before I start working on league and team previews in August.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a look at four ranked dawgs on the defensive line. Each one in this group plays for a Northeast Kansas school and is headed into their senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1599043' first='Devin' last='Foster'],</strong> DL, 6'2”, 245, Lawrence, '26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Foster is ranked No. 64 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He finished his junior season with 42 tackles. He also sacked quarterbacks six times in nine games. Over the past two seasons, he has recorded 9.5 sacks and 20 tackles for loss. The thing that jumps out when you watch film of Foster is his quickness. He fires off the ball with the best of them.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1363887' first='Roch' last='Emanuel'],</strong> DL, 6'5”, 245, Piper, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Piper's Emanuel is ranked No. 81 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He recorded 47 tackles as a junior and has 107 total tackles in the past two seasons. He has also registered 17 TFLs and seven quarterback sacks over the past two seasons. What impressed me the most about his film package is his strength and the ability to defeat blocks at the point of contact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1241213' first='Leland' last='Bradshaw'],</strong> DL, 6'2”, 250, Eudora, '26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Redzone Kansas has Bradshaw ranked No. 308 overall in the Class of 2026. Last season in five games he recorded 25 tackles and three TFLs. Bradshaw can play on both sides of the line and his size offers a ton of versatility for a college coaching to staff to tinker with. He played offensive tackle and defensive tackle for Eudora last season. In their four-man defensive fronts, he was playing on the interior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1428950' first='Royce' last='Daniels'],</strong> DL, 5'10”, 195, Shawnee Heights, '26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Daniels is ranked No. 449 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He finished his junior season with 69 tackles to lead the Thunderbirds. He also finished with two quarterback sacks. He also plays running back for Shawnee Heights. He has the strength and frame to play nose tackle at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
