Updated 2027 Rankings: New Additions (Part 1)

Here are 5 New Additions to the rankings:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1679747' first='Isaac' last='Behrens'], Cibola</strong>: The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Behrens emerged last season as one of the top young defensive linemen in the Albuquerque Metro Region. He had 29 tackles and 5 QB hurries. Behrens should have a pivotal role on what could be a stout Cibola defense in 2025. The Cougars have next level talent on all three levels.<strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1680192' first='Dempsey' last='Brown'], Thoreau</strong>: Brown was an elite defender for the Hawks last season as he finished with 48 tackles and an impressive 15 QB hurries. He knows how to wreak havoc in the opposing backfield. Browen promises to be one of the key to Thoreau's efforts to return to the Class 3A playoffs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1637643' first='Wyatt' last='Lohr'], Cleveland</strong>: What's most impressive about the 6-foot-1, 280-pound Lohr is his incredible strength for a such a young player. He finished second in the 308-pound class at the state powerlifting championships. He recently benched 315 pounds and squatted 550 pounds. He deadlifts close to 500 pounds. Lohr will battle for one of the two starting jobs up for grabs along the Storm O-Line.   </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1679931' first='Dock' last='Love'], La Cueva</strong>: Another promising young defensive lineman. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Love was a backup for the Bears in 2024 but should have a much more significant role this upcoming season. He displayed good speed and quickness off the edge, and even lined up occasionally in the interior. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1679730' first='Gavin' last='McPherson'], Hobbs</strong>: The younger brother of former Hobbs standout linebacker Zaeden McPherson, Gavin will get his opportunity to make an impact at LB for the Eagles in 2025.
