FORT MILL | Sunday's Prep Redzone Combine series at Fort Mill High gave us a look at a lot of talent, some of which you may know about, but others you'll want to keep your eye on as we head into the 2025 season. We spent plenty of time evaluating the quarterbacks and wide receivers and here's a look at our notes from the session:

QUARTERBACKS

We liked the velocity on the throws from Makorean Anderson of Mountain View Prep during the warm up period. During the period with the wideouts, he made an accurate throw to where teammate wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1673236' first='Amir' last='Jones'] was able to make the catch near the sidelines. Anderson does a good job of reading the coverages and taking what is given to him.

Fort Mill's [player_tooltip player_id='1266099' first='Broden' last='Mitcheson'] has good arm strength and has good accuracy – he puts it where his receiver can get it. He dropped a throw right in the bread basket to a receiver for a touchdown grab later in drills against defensive backs. He did a good job of seeing the field on one throw and firing the ball right to the open defender in the hole that the zone coverage gave him.

Clover's [player_tooltip player_id='1407416' first='Aaron' last='Shealey'] (pictured above) has great size for the position and can fire the ball into where his receiver can make a play on it. We saw this very thing happen on a throw at the very end of the day where he stepped right into the throw and Gaffney's [player_tooltip player_id='1604058' first='Kareem' last='Shaw'] ran right into the hole of the coverage on the in route for a reception.

River Bluff's [player_tooltip player_id='1600293' first='Davis' last='Taylor'] did a good job of turning his body and making accurate throws during warm ups. Later on during the competition period, he threw an absolute dime of a throw, which gave the offense the upper hand.

Blythewood's [player_tooltip player_id='1426578' first='James' last='Veasey'] made an excellent throw to the corner for a touchdown, and had a good release on the throw. We were particularly impressed with two consecutive throws to the corner.

Oceanside Collegiate's [player_tooltip player_id='1094944' first='Aiden' last='Manavian'] read the coverage perfectly during drills against the defensive backs, allowing the route to develop to make an accurate throw for a touchdown.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Byrnes's [player_tooltip player_id='1581471' first='Isaiah' last='Robinson'] did a good job of sticking his toe in the ground and getting ground once he got into the post route. His teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='1673314' first='NicQlous' last='Watson'] moved quickly from cone to cone to make a catch on the quick throw to end the drill, something that the position coach was complimentary of.

Desmond Williams II from Trinity Collegiate was smooth running from cone to cone during the individual drills and he was able to move quickly from cone to cone.

Simpsonville's [player_tooltip player_id='1648505' first='Caden' last='Mullaney'] has good hands for a tight end and he has good size for the position. Hilton Head Christian College receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1668980' first='Morris' last='Fields'] did a great job of extending out to make the catch during the individual session.

North Myrtle Beach's [player_tooltip player_id='1673915' first='Reo' last='Stevenson'] made a great catch on the smash concept, and ran the route at full speed. Fort Mill's Chase Fitzgerald was impressive on a slant grab to the middle of the field. Fitzgerald ran a post later for a score that was fun to watch.

Hillcrest's [player_tooltip player_id='1673409' first='Jakyius' last='Stroud'] has smooth hands and looks the ball into his hands when running his routes.
