Murray is an impact player on both sides of the ball, as he is a disruptor off the edge on defense and a legitimate threat in the pass game on offense. Defensively, he plays with an extremely high motor. His speed off the edge makes him difficult for quarterbacks to read and ends up allowing him to play both the QB and the RB on read plays. He fires off the ball with low pad level and violent hands that help him to cross face on blocks or split double teams to penetrate the backfield. Even when the ball gets outside of the box, his motor continues to run as he will run down the fast screens and quick game from the defensive end position. Offensively, he checks all the boxes in what every OC wants from their tight end. Not only is he a physical and punishing blocker at the point of attack, but he is also a great route runner who is dynamic with the ball in his hands. Murray’s big frame makes him a prime and reliable target over the middle who can make defenders miss or break tackles after the catch. He led his team in both receptions and receiving yards in 2025.
