During the course of a week, we bring you team and player profiles, prospect information and promotion in every corner of the state. That is something that went back decades, but then punters were booting the balls 65-70 yards and providing field position, kickers were booting balls into the end zone and making field goals to win games. Special teams, even long snappers had suddenly been viewed differently. Enter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50085" first="Will" last="Bettridge"]</strong>. A youth football, basketball and baseball standout, kicking and punting went from being something that he did well to something that he is doing great at. Bettridge is one of the best kickers in the country – 1, 2 or 3 – depending on what ranking you subscribe to. But beyond his booming kickoffs, long field goals and impressive punts is someone who plays basketball and this past season, drove in the winning runs several times for the Raiders’ baseball team. In addition to his skills in athletics, his work in the classroom has been amazing – with a 4.0 GPA and plenty of interest from schools such as LSU, Georgia Tech and Virginia among others. This is the total package.
