Britton-Hecla combined Pop. 1408

Bennett is one that has been at a few Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcases and his live eval seems to get better and better the more I watch him develop. The 5’11 175 pounder from Britton-Hecla, has long strides for his size and has gotten more instinctive year after year especially with his vision and cutting ability. I think he’s even more dangerous as a pass-catcher on intermediate and deep routes as one that is versatile with where he can be a weapon on offense for the Braves. He also shows off strong hands as a pass-catcher and surely has some of the best hands I have seen live amongst our small town sleepers.

Bennett was a running back up the road from Britton-Hecla that I recall caught my attention at our last Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase and is one that has made even more steady growth at last Sunday’s Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. He took down his 40-yard dash this time to a 4.82, 4.66 in the pro shuttle, and probably the most explosive number was in his broad jump which went 9’1 (twice) as a running back that was in my top-tier Sunday in Aberdeen. In such a big group of RBs (20 plus) it can be hard to catch my attention more than once and if you do, you are having yourself a solid day which Bennett caught my attention later in Indy drills on just how sudden he was getting to his top speed and also showed consistency from my pre-showcase eval how explosive he can be as a route-runner. He certainly looks like a prospect that can play on Saturdays in my eyes.

The other offensive standout from the 9-man school that brought us NFL Star TE Dallas Goedert, comes again in the Braves 2027 class at running back in Bennett Suther Bennett Suther 5'11" | 174 lbs | RB Britton-Hecla | 2027 State SD . Talk about a tailback that wastes no time with how sudden he gets to his top speed and doing so with a sound frame at 6’0 172 pounds. That suddenness didn’t just flash once from my eyes, it happened multiple times throughout our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen on Saturday in multiple schemes, as Bennett also showed it off as a route-runner in 1v1s. There isn’t much tape out nor eval besides what I saw on Saturday in Aberdeen, which tell mes this young man is a deep sleeper in this South Dakota 2027 class to know and one I hope to see his sophomore tape pop up soon!
