Each weekend during the offseason, prospects have recruiting visits and camps to take part. We have reached the point in the weekend where it is time to get caught up on some recruiting news from a busy weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='401204' first='Matthew' last='Ferguson']-Defensive Back-Bryant-6'2” 184-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='401204' first='Matthew' last='Ferguson'] has the versatility to play multiple positions in the defensive secondary. He is a physical defensive back who has no trouble separating the ball from the ball carrier. Ferguson does a great job of being able to read the opposing quarterback as well as the wide receiver. Over the weekend, Ferguson earned a scholarship offer from Arkansas Tech. He is a prospect who I expect a big season from this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1152116' first='Owen' last='McLaughlin']-Running Back-Southside-5'9” 185-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1152116' first='Owen' last='McLaughlin'] is coming off a 2024 season where he had no problem churning out the yardage each Friday night. He identifies rushing lanes quickly and explodes into the second level. McLaughlin is a difficult player to bring who excels at working his way through tackles. The Southside running back had the opportunity to visit East Central University. McLaughlin is a player I expect to have a strong offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1542408' first='Jamison' last='McIntosh']-Offensive Line-Nashville-6'0” 280-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1542408' first='Jamison' last='McIntosh'] is an offensive lineman who plays with a chip on his shoulder. He plays with good hand placement and will drive opposing defenders backward. McIntosh has no trouble opening up rushing lanes and does a great job of looking for a player to block at the second level. He had a strong camp performance at the Arkansas Tech camp over the weekend. He is a prospect to watch out for over the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227606' first='Javian' last='Stricklin']-Wide Receiver-Fayetteville-5'6” 155-Pounds-2027

[player_tooltip player_id='1227606' first='Javian' last='Stricklin'] continues to put on a show from a receiving perspective at each camp. The Fayetteville wide receiver does an excellent job of mixing his speed with precise route running. Stricklin has the speed to stretch the field from a vertical perspective. He had a strong weekend at the Arkansas Tech camp. Stricklin is a prospect to watch out for over the course of the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='806079' first='Blake' last='Coughran']-Running Back-Prairie Grove-5'11” 199-Pounds-2026

The Prairie Grove running back is a prospect who can slice an opposing defense up running or receiving the ball. He has the ability to make opposing defenders miss. Coughran is a patient running back who allows his blockers to open up rushing lanes. He continues to open plenty of eyes at camps and is a player to watch out for over the summer. Coughran had the opportunity to take a visit to Ottawa University over the weekend.
