About Nate
Expert Analysis
Chris Redding | Prep Redzone Scout
Nate was easily noticed throughout the camp based on his size and consistent effort. The Mount Desert Island product was right at home with other bigger school athletes. The Bar Harbor native was quick off the ball and explosive on each rep. Nate flashed both strength and and quickness in the 1v1s.
It was great to see Nate grow throughout the camp and build on his already dangerous DL tool box. He displayed great poise and the ability to finish each rep. He was a constant leader of the group and someone that each coach talked to during the camp. Nate will be one of the best players in Maine in 2026 and should be someone all New England colleges should take notice of heading into his senior season.

Nate plays 8 man football for Mount Desert Island. Is a physical player, that shows good speed or agility. Is more of a DL body that is put in the LB position due to being a really good player on a smaller team. He is very violent at the point of attack and tackles well in space. Could be a good prospect for college football teams, will be exciting to see how to test and performs at camps this summer. Interesting player to keep on radar for college coaches.

at the upcoming showcase, there are several key attributes and skills they will be closely monitoring. At 6’5″ and 240 lbs, Olson possesses an impressive frame that holds potential for development at the collegiate level, especially as a defensive lineman.
One of the first aspects scouts will assess is Olson’s physicality on the field. His strong desire to engage and be physical is a positive indicator of his mentality. However, it will be essential for him to demonstrate improvement in his pad level during tackling situations and when bursting off the ball. This will not only help in minimizing potential injuries but also enhance his effectiveness in the trenches.
The fluidity of his movement and hip tightness will be critical areas of focus during drills. Scouts will analyze how well he can shift and pivot, essential skills for a defensive lineman, particularly when countering opposing plays. Additionally, they will be on the lookout for his first-step quickness, which can greatly impact his ability to disrupt offensive plays in that crucial moment after the snap.
Another aspect of Olson’s performance will revolve around how he handles double teams, a scenario he will likely encounter frequently at the next level. His ability to either shed blockers or effectively anchor against multiple players will be a telling factor in his college projection.
Lastly, verification of his athletic testing results, including speed, strength, and agility metrics, will further help carve out a projection grade for Olson. As scouts watch him closely at the combine, they will be eager to see how he brings together these elements to solidify his status as a promising prospect.
