Torres has the best frame of anyone in this class, making him an intriguing prospect to see at a QB competition. The Plainedge QB also stars on the baseball field, where he one of the top prospects in the state. Torres at 6’4″ 225-Pounds, is physically gifted to play the QB position, and he displays a quick release, with a fast ball, that is delivered with precise accuracy. Torres might be better at baseball, but having a QB, with a quick release and good accuracy with a strong arm is a must have at any competition involving the QB Position.

is the 4th QB on the list. The Plainedge star plays both Football and Baseball for his squad, and displays an outstanding frame at 6’4″ 225-Pounds. Torres fell a few spots in the rankings, but consistently as impressed me with his skills on the field.
Torres, has a recent offer from Syracuse, and for good reason. This kid can sling the ball. He is a magician with the ball, and can throw with different angles, and platforms, avoiding defensive pressure. His IQ is off the charts, and he can read a defense like an elite signal caller.

Torres’ biggest strength is his ability to throw from different arm angles and different platforms. He’s able to get the ball out under pressure thanks to his ability to move his arm angle and avoid the defense. When he moves out of the pocket he’s able to make any throw on the field even while avoiding defensive lineman. He’s best behind the line of scrimmage. He identifies matchups and attacks downfield consistently. Able to operate the RPO game which is impressive at his age. His size is elite, and the best of any qb on this list. I want to see him attack over the middle of the field well, he attacks outside the numbers so easily which is fantastic, but at his size he’s able to see so clearly over the middle I’d love to see him take advantage.

Torres is a well-known baseball player, but he’s certainly one of the top quarterbacks on Long Island. Plainedge gave him the keys as a sophomore, and he delivered. The first thing that stands out is his ridiculous arm strength — he has a cannon and connected on some beautiful deep passes throughout his sophomore year. He was one of the island’s leaders in passing and is just getting started. With a full year of experience now, he could be in the conversation for all types of awards this season. If he attends camps, he’ll be a player to watch.

I don’t often go out of my way to find film in unique ways on prospects who don’t have any, but Torres is one of those exceptions—one of the top quarterbacks on Long Island last season. I watched two full broadcasted games Plainedge had in addition to all his WRs and RBs that had tape. Torres is also a legitimate baseball prospect. He has great measurables for the position and flashes some solid movement skills.
Torres’ best trait is his arm strength; he has undoubtedly the biggest arm in the ’27 class in New York. He flashes some elite ball placement at times and excels with his efficiency in the short area of the field. Adding more consistency to his game can jump him into the #1 conversation this class.
