Trinity High School is getting a prototypical Linebacker who looks like he was born to play the position, in Carson Ivey Carson Ivey 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Trinity High School | 2029 KY . He’s a downhill, attacking LB that hunts down ball carriers from hash to hash. A very good run-stopper. Ivey can also drop into coverage and operate in space, but looks more natural on the prowl. He enjoys contact and can really lay the wood if he has an open shot. Offensively lines up as a Fullback, and just as he does on the defensive side of the ball, he’s decisive when reading and reacting.

Like his teammate Eric Forney Jr. Eric Forney Jr. 5'10" | 180 lbs | LB Kentucky Country Day | 2029 State KY (listed above), Carson Ivey Carson Ivey 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB/RB Trinity High School | 2029 KY was another standout at the Linebacker position for Region 2. He passed the eye test from the moment I saw him, with a muscular build. Ivey got down hill in a hurry and played behind his pads all weekend long. With his build I was assuming he’d be an ILB in their 4-4 front, but he showed off his athleticism in his pass drops and ability to cover ground laterally. Also made an outstanding Special Teams play in R2’s first game, snatching an onside kick attempt out of the air and returning it into R4’s territory.
