put together one of the more complete showings among the running backs in attendance. A well built back with a strong frame, he didn’t just rely on physical presence, he separated himself with versatility. In route work, he looked comfortable and polished, running crisp patterns and proving he can be utilized as a legitimate option in the pass game rather than just a check down outlet. During testing, he may have been one of the most natural movers in the group, displaying clean mechanics and impressive linear speed in the 40 while maintaining smooth, nimble direction changes through the cone drills. Jeyden is a back who can impact the game in multiple phases.

was a player I had circled heading into the event, and he quickly showed why the anticipation was warranted. He looked like a natural runner during the 40, moving with ease and efficiency, and he’s the type of athlete who is only going to get faster as he continues to mature and develop physically.
His sharp cutting ability really stood out in the cone drills, where he displayed quick feet and strong body control. That skill set projects well beyond just open space, as Jeyden has the tools to be dangerous between the tackles, navigating tight lanes and making decisive moves in traffic. With his athletic build and upward trajectory, he’s a back who should be proving just how lethal he can be this offseason and into his freshman year.

Jeyden has been a running back I’ve been excited about throughout 2025, and his fall highlights only reinforced that enthusiasm. He flashes explosive acceleration, hitting holes with both speed and power, and consistently shows a keen sense of field awareness. Jeyden reads the flow of the defense instinctively, allowing him to navigate traffic with remarkable ease. His quick footwork gives him the ability to change direction on the fly, making him extremely difficult for defenders to catch once he’s in the open field. Jeyden is a player that immediately grabs your attention any time he steps on the field.

I think by season’s end, Jeyden Thomas will be recognized as one of the top offensive weapons in the NJ 2030 class. He shows a quick burst out of the backfield and is dangerous with his bounce back ability, having the ability to see the field open up and make a beeline across it toward daylight. Defenders struggle to bring Jeyden down in space as his feet are always active, ready to make the next lateral move, and he’s not afraid of contact, running with both power and purpose every time he touches the ball.

A back with both balance and explosiveness, Jeyden carries significant upside as he continues to develop. Thomas shows impressive body control for a young back, having the ability to maintain balance through contact and absorbing hits without losing his footing. He often bounces right off of would-be tacklers and keeps runs alive after initial contact.
His agility stands out as well, as he makes sudden cuts and changes direction smoothly to escape tight situations. When lanes close inside, he has the awareness and quickness to bounce the play outside and find daylight.
In the open field, Jeyden’s speed becomes a major weapon. With long, efficient strides and rapid acceleration, he can separate from defenders once he breaks through the second level. Jeyden is a star in the making.

is ready to set himself apart from the rest at the Next Combine this Saturday. Jeyden’s combination of speed, balance, and vision should be on full display in Jackson, NJ, as he’ll showcase how much of a threat he can be every time he touches the rock. With the unique ability to make guys miss and also absorb contact and stay on his feet through tackles, Jeyden will shine come Saturday afternoon. He has demonstrated elite speed and agility in his 2024 highlights already, and I expect it to show throughout the testing drills this weekend.

- One of Camden County’s top pre-high Running Backs will be representing South Jersey and the 2030 class. His film speaks volumes, but I’m excited to have a chance to check out the talented back in person. He looks to have all the tools necessary to become one of the best in the state.

is already turning heads with his natural playmaking ability. He runs with excellent balance and a low center of gravity, allowing him to absorb contact and stay on his feet through tackles. His quick reaction time and sharp footwork help him escape pressure in the backfield, using sudden cuts and direction changes to create space when there isn’t any. When Jeyden eventually breaks into the open field, he has the potential to become a true home-run threat. With longer limbs and a frame made to put size on, Jeyden is only getting started.
