Tisyn Witcher
About Tisyn
Expert Analysis
Chad Graham | Prep Redzone Scout
Overview: Witcher is a corner with good physical tools and a standout receiver. Primarily operating in zone coverage, he can read the QB’s eyes and has fluid hips when he has to turn and run. Witcher tracks the ball well in the air and attacks it as if it was thrown to him. His long arms and leaping ability allow him to break up the pass or intercept it outright. At WR, Witcher has the speed to threaten the defense vertically and horizontally. He beats defenders over the top on fades and breaks their contain on jet sweeps. Witcher projects as a cover 3 or field corner who can eventually take away a side of the field.

is an explosive wide receiver with open-field instincts and playmaking ability. His highlights show his ability to stretch the field vertically and create chunk plays repeatedly. Two plays, a seam route and a fade catch in tight coverage, show how dangerous he can be once he gets behind the defense. Witcher is a versatile weapon as both a receiver and runner in his team’s offense. I’m impressed with how much of a threat he is after he catches the football and gets that YAC. He’s elusive, and his quick feet and vision make him exciting to watch when he has the ball in his hands. Witcher’s quickness off the snap is noticeable, too. His initial burst helps him gain separation on vertical routes. College coaches will love the fact that he puts great effort into blocking for his running backs. That’s a team player. I’ll see what he looks like running other types of routes before I can make a complete evaluation in that regard. Witcher has a lot of upside.

is a solid playmaker on both sides of the ball, but his highest ceiling at the next level likely lies at cornerback. His production on offense—12 catches for 350 yards, seven touchdowns, 210 rushing yards, and three rushing scores on just eight carries—speaks to his explosiveness and ability to maximize his opportunities. Witcher consistently finds ways to get behind the defense, whether on deep routes or after the catch. His ability to high-point the football and track deep passes makes him a dangerous red-zone and deep-threat target.
However, what sets Witcher apart is his defensive skill set. With 28 total tackles, four interceptions, and two pick-sixes, he shows an instinctive ability to read the quarterback, break on the football, and make game-changing plays in zone coverage. He has excellent football instincts, often in the right place and time. Witcher’s combination of size, anticipation, and ball skills suggests he could develop into a highly effective cornerback at the next level.
