“Rivers is a physical, aggressive LB who can defend the run and pass at a high level. He’s quick on his feet, has great instincts and play recognition, and flies around the field to create all sorts of impact plays.

I’m really impressed with how Rivers plays the run. He’s unstoppable in pursuit and will frequently make his way through several blockers to wrap up the ball carrier and create stops for little to no gain. On top of that, he can also produce out in coverage- he has good ball skills and is highly reactive, leading to some huge plays on the ball.”

Rivers is a tackling machine against the run who is terrific at locating, tracking, and meeting the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage and in the open field for huge stops. He’s impressive in pursuit and is a reliable tackler who can close in and come up with hustle plays almost every snap.

Rivers can impact the pass as well, he’s great at blitzing and pressuring QBs behind and also has some impressive coverage skills that help him lock down the middle of the field.

Rivers made a ton of plays for Citronelle’s defense last season, ending the year with 118 total tackles (85 solo, 10 for loss), one sack, and 2 hurries.

Rivers is a force over the middle of the field that dominates against the run- he’s excellent at reading and reacting to plays, consistently fighting off blocks and putting himself in the perfect position to take down the ball carrier. Rivers is a very reliable tackler- he does a great job wrapping up and can also deliver some big hits to jar the ball free, it’s impressive watching him use his speed to make those kinds of plays all around the field. Rivers is tough to stop and seems to always find a way into opposing backfields, he’s been excellent for his team’s defense as a sophomore and is only going to keep getting better.
