About Joey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style consists of quick feet and an explosive first step off the line. I utilize my physicality and speed to create separation from defenders.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am an extremely hard working person on and off the field. Academic excellence is important to me, as I have a 4.95 GPA, while taking several honor level courses. I am a quick learner and do a great job listening, as I am always looking to grow and contribute.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am honored and proud to be a member of National Honor Society, while also being very involved in my church youth group (Hope Fellowship). I also spent time as part of Hope squad, a group that supports students struggling with suicidal thoughts.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have participated in community service at my church and also at Cornerstone Resale. Cornerstone helps people in need with clothing and supplies.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I moved to a new area (Prosper) and had to create new friendships, after living in Mckinney most of my life.

What type of college are you looking for?

I aspire to play at a college where I can make an impact and support the teams end goals. I would also prefer a college that appreciates education/academics, and where trust and transparency exists. I really look forward to building relationships with a coach and teammates, where WE over ME exists.
