About Harlan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A versatile quarterback, who can stand in the pocket, scrabble, still make passing plays downfield also is a threat while running.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I will consider myself a student of the game who works hard and takes my craft very seriously.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have won awards from having a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Also award for perfect attendance at school. I have won Player Of The Year twice at the Diamond All American game. I have been named a five star through generation next rankings. I have over 10+ MVPs. I’m also have made Jr Olympics five times in Track.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed my leadership role while playing up at age every year besides this year. What I have learned is sometimes you can lead by example; therefore I go hard so my team mates can see how hard I go and hope that would motivate them.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I say I have face is me throwing an interception and how I overcame that situation and continue to play football. I had to learn that those mistakes happen, but you gotta stay locked into the game. I lead my team down the field and threw a touchdown to win the game.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for college that wants a quarterback that looks to pass first and run if needed. A college that is looking for a dual threat quarterback who uses his athletic abilities too get the pass off and keep the play going but knows when to run when needed. I currently hold two division one offers one for Sacramento State and one from Alcorn State University.

Futrell arrived well established as a top quarterback prospect in the Class of 2030 from Missouri. On the hoof, Futrell looks like a skill player at 5090 150, and has a long 7100 wingspan and big hands at 0968. He ran 5.05×40, 4.66 shuttle, 6.94 cone, and 9’2 broad jump, showing quickness and explosion with a good get out of the blocks on his 40 run. Those big paws allows him to put some really good spin on the ball as he went through passing drills delivering with velocity. His motion is tight and compact, good with placement and tight windows, and can hit a deep throw with nice touch.

QB MVP Harlan came in with a quiet confidence that grabbed coaches attention immediately during positional groups. He threw a favorable ball that made the receivers keep wanting to connect with him during 1 on 1’s. Mr. Futrell displayed solid mechanics and an understanding of when to get the ball out of his hands. Timing is everything and Harlan was consistent with ball placement and shined when it really mattered.
