He intercepted a pass on defense. When we view Casey’s 11th-grade highlight video, there’s a long-limbed receiver that can win contested throws and high-point the ball. He’s fast in a straight line, threatening to stretch the field on any snap. Casey’s height helps win balls in close quarters, and agility aids him in making defenders miss in space. He’s a clean route runner, getting in and out of his breaks quickly, selling fakes and putting opponents on their heals. It’s a set of skills that work on defense at linebacker or in the secondary, and also make him a productive player on special teams.
